I woke up, and immediately remembered the fact I had pushed Lyon away from me. I began to get nervous. I knew I couldn't skip school. Gray would be even more suspicious than he already is. He's already been able to piece most of it together. I can't give him another piece of the puzzle. Not when Jamie's life is on the line. I carefully got off the couch. My parents were still asleep.
Good, I thought, They look like they haven't slept in days. I shouldn't wake them up.
I got up and looked at the time. I then took a sigh of relief. It was Saturday. No school today. I must have been to focused on Lyon and Jamie to notice it was the weekend. This means I don't have to face Lyon today. I hope he calms down and forgets about it by Monday. I picked up my phone and saw a few texts. I read the one from Lucy first.
Hey! Wanna hangout with me and Levy today?
I replied yes to her and checked my other messages. The next was from Gray.
I'm coming over, no exceptions. I'm worried about you and you keep ignoring me. I expect answers once I get over there.
I panicked. Lucy then replied, and I looked at it, hoping it was to say to meet in a few minutes. But of course, I was not that lucky. she said to meet in a couple hours at our friend's cafe. I looked at the clock. It was 11:23. We would meet at 1:30. I then realized that Gray's house was about 10 minutes away from mine if he was walking, which he would be because he can't drive. I looked at the time the text was sent, and he sent it 7 minutes ago.
"No no no!" I harshly whispered, remembering that my parents were still asleep. I quickly got dressed and wrote a note to my parents, saying I was going on a walk. I opened the front door and didn't see Gray. I took a house key and closed the door, running down the street, hoping to get away before he got to my house and saw me running. When I was happy with the distance I had put, between me and my house, I slowed down to a walking pace. I walked to the park. On the way there, a nice breeze passed by, making my blue hair blow to my left. I sighed in content, finally happy to have some peace for once. Lyon was right about one thing, my hair was like a waterfall. It flowed down my back when it was loose, and was carried by the wind when a breeze went by. The birds chirped as they perched on nearby trees, which rustled as the breeze flew past them as well. Before I knew it, I was already on my way home. I looked at my phone and saw it was now 11:45. Twenty two minutes goes by fast when you're listening to nature.
I looked at my phone again and saw I still had one text.
Hey Big Sis! I'm fine, don't worry! I haven't been hurt too bad by him. Just a few bruises, I swear. He doesn't know I still have my phone, but I've only just now been able to text you because he's been watching me every day. Just keep listening to him, and I'll find a way out of here! Love ya, Juvie.
- Jamie
I stopped abruptly. I was about 20 feet away from my house. I reread the text over and over multiple times.
H-He's alive! He's okay! I thought as tears welled up in my eyes.
The sudden shock was too much, and I blacked out.
"Juvia! Oh god are you okay?!" I heard someone yell.

I don't know for how long I was out, but I woke up with my head in someone's lap. I blinked, adjusting to the brightness like I had to do when I blacked out from that panic attack at school. I looked up and saw a face with raven hair framing it.
"Gray-Sama?" I asked.
"Yeah, it's me. Thank god you're awake. You scared me, fainting like that all of a sudden, Juvia. You're lucky I caught you before your head hit the ground. It wasn't like last time. It was concrete, Juvia, not grass. You could have seriously hurt yourself if you hit your head on it. What made you faint, anyway?" He asked.
I then sat up, remembering everything.
"My phone! Where's my phone?!" I asked him.
"Here, why?" He asked.
I took it from his hand and logged in, going to my messages. I wanted to make sure Jamie's text was real, and that I hadn't imagined it. But there it was, in black and white. I had forgotten Gray was here, and only remembered when he looked over my shoulder. I quickly hid the phone screen from him. He grabbed it anyway and read it. His eyes widened.
"Juvia, what is this?!" He said in shock.
"What does it look like?" I snapped at him, "It's why I fainted. It's the first text I've received from him since he disappeared. Now give me my phone back!"
He went from shock to a serious face.
"Juvia, what the hell does Jamie mean by 'just keep listening to him?'" Gray demanded.
I kept quiet, not looking at him at all.
"Juvia, tell me, damn it! Does it have to do with Lyon? What the hell is going on!" He demanded again, this time raising his voice a little. I jumped and immediately covered his mouth.
"Gray! Shut up, not so loud!" I said harshly. I didn't want his sisters to hear him.
He took my hand off his mouth. "Then tell me what's going on. The FULL truth, Juvia."
I sighed, and he narrowed his eyes. I looked around, still hesitant. Lyon seems to hear almost everything, even when we think he's not here. Gray has soundproof walls, so we don't have to worry about that. In fact I don't even know why I was worried about his sisters hearing him when they're soundproof. I guess I just wasn't thinking. I got up and he grabbed my arm. I yanked it out of his grip and checked around the room, just to be sure. No sign of recorders or anything like that. It may sound ridiculous to search for one, but I've actually found one in my room, before. Lyon was trying to may sure I didn't tell my family about it. I let out a breath of relief, and sat back down.
"Gray, if I'm going to tell you everything, you need to promise me you won't tell ANYONE else, got it?" I told him, dead serious.
"Understood. Now tell me what the hell is going on, and how Lyon is involved and why you said it's his fault," he replied.
So I told him. And he was furious, that's for sure.
