Gray's POV:

I walked in, not responding to my dad's welcome. He left me alone which I'm glad of. He knew me well, and he could tell I was upset.

I went to my room and started on homework. Time passed quickly and I finished it and went downstairs to eat. Since I no longer have any reason to stay at school, I wanted to quit. But dad wouldn't allow me to. He even spoke to the principal to make sure I didn't cut any classes. Damn that old man is smart. If I even cut one class then he would take my phone.

I guess my friends are one reason I'll continue to go to school. Gajeel is like a big brother to Juvia, so he might know why she did it. Lucy was close to Juvia so she might know too.

I walked to school the next day and into my first class. Luckily I only have a couple classes with Juvia. One with Lyon, and none are with first or second period. So I'm safe until third.

Time skip 3rd Period:

Juvia hasn't come in yet and I got a little worried. Sure, I was hurt by her, but I still worry for her and other classmates/friends. I just won't talk to her.

She came in just before the teacher. The teacher walked in and stood in front of us. "This year," he said, "our projects will be pairs. Get into your normal pairs and begin. The topic is the biosphere, hydrosphere, or both. Pick one.." Did I forget to mention that this is biology class?

Unfortunately my normal pair is with Juvia. We picked each other for every project, so the teacher just assigned normal pairs, and this was our group for the whole year.

Just my luck. I thought.

Juvia came over to me and sat down at the desk next to me. She looked really tired today, but she kept asking for my opinion on her ideas, so I guess it was nothing important.

She wanted to do the hydrosphere, since she was an expert on water. I was an expert in ice and wildlife, so I wanted to do the biosphere. We just agreed to do both. She would do anything water related and I would do anything ice and animal related.

She started drawing out the diorama for the project. I'd forgotten about the situation and was happily working with her until class was over and I remembered what she did. I could tell something was wrong, and in my gut I knew it wasn't a minor thing. It might just be something to do with her missing brother. Her brother went missing about a couple weeks ago, I think it was. I came over to her house the minute she called and told me. I had immediately cancelled any plans and went over to her house and we had a sleepover to make her feel better. I've done a lot for her for the couple years we've dated, and she betrayed me like that. I really thought she was the one I was going to spend the rest of my life with. I guess not.

I went to the lunchroom and joined Gajeel and Lucy at the table. They noticed that I was upset and asked what was wrong.

"After school yesterday, I saw Juvia kissing Lyon. She cheated on me with my best friend. When they saw me, Lyon said, 'Guess you caught us. Let's go babe.' and he and Juvia left."

Lucy looked down, not knowing what to say. Gajeel though, yelled at me. "There is no way she would do that! There must be something you don't know. Maybe you saw it wrong. I know Juvia, I know she wouldn't do that. I called her a few days ago and she wouldn't stop talking about you! " He kept going on, ranting about things similar to that.

Lucy calmed him down. "Gajeel, your making it worse for him. He knows that she wouldn't do something like that. Look at him. He's trying to choose between his heart and was he saw." She said softly.

Gajeel became quiet.

"I wanted to know if you know anything I don't about it. If she has something going on at home, if her mind is somewhere else right now, is it about Jamie? She seemed so out of it in bio today. She seemed upset and worried, and she barely made it to class before the lesson started. She's never late. Something is wrong with her but I don't know what," I said.

Lucy shook her head. "We don't know anything. She hasn't talked to us since her brother went missing. Only you and Lyon."

Hearing his name made me want to punch something. "DON'T. . .say that name." I growled, trying to stay calm. Lucy nodded. She knew she made a mistake and she was sorry for it. I hugged her to say sorry, and she nodded.

"I'm gonna go look for her and have her tell me herself. Can you look for her too?" I asked them.

They nodded. "Just don't force her to tell you anything, okay Gray? It might hurt her, because there might be something we don't know about." Lucy warned.

"Okay, I promise."

We usually have 2 hours for lunch, and the campus is big. It even has its own mini park with sakura trees. That park was usually her favorite place because there was a certain sakura tree next to a pond, that she found one day and brought me too. Only me and her know about it. Not even Lyon knows it exists.

I went there, knowing I had about an hour and a half left before class starts. I saw her and heard her speaking to herself, so I hid behind a tree close to her. I heard a few words that shocked me.

"I hate you Lyon. You ruined my life and now Gray~sama hates me because of you. You better not hurt him, if you do, I'll have the police arrest you for your crime."

Crime? What crime? Who is this "him" she's talking about. I had a thousand thoughts running through my head at once. Is Lyon a criminal? I asked myself.

I made a noise that showed me thinking about something, and she heard it. She panicked, and freaked out even more when she saw it was me. She started crying with a panicked expression on her face, and mumbling weird things.

Juvia's POV:

I panicked as I saw who it was that was spying on me. If it was anyone but him, I could possibly get away with it if Lyon found out.

Gray~sama! Oh god no, Jamie's gonna die!
