Richie Tozier had the biggest crush on y/n l/n for years and almost everyone knew about.
it began back in kindergarten when he first saw her playing in the sandpit, he went over to her and made a dirty comment which resulted in him getting in trouble.
over the years, he had been and flirted with many people, except y/n. he just couldn't do it, no matter how much he wanted to, it was just impossible for him. but today was going to be different. he was finally going to ask her out, and hoped she would accept.
"j-just fucking do it a-all r-ready" Bill told him.
"yeah don't be a pussy" Stan said while rolling his eyes.
"i'm not!! im going to do it! watch me" Richie replied, trying to sound confident.
"go on then" Stan said.
Richie sighed; he ran his hands through his hair and made his way over to y/n.
y/n was busy clearing out her locker when she saw Richie walking over to her and said,
"hey Richie!"
"hey....y/n" Richie replied nervously.
"what's up?" she asked.
"i just wanted to ask you if you want to um...you know...me and you together- going?" what the fuck am i saying he thought.
"you want me to go out with you?" y/n replied.
"YES- i mean yeah yeah that's what i meant, that would be cool you know, just going out together, no big deal" Richie said and awkwardly laughed.
"sure, wanna go to that new diner?" y/n asked.
"alright yeah, i'll see you there! be there soon, or i might eat everything- not like they'll run out of food- but- just see you there i'm gonna go fuck myself now" Richie mumbled and walked away awkwardly.
y/n shook her head while smiling and closed the locker and walked to her next class.

Richie was sitting down in one of the booths in the diner. It was quite nice, the diner was colorful and comforting, you could smell the food coming out from the kitchen. there were pictures hung up on the wall, salt and pepper shakers and tissue boxes on the tables. it was just a comfortable atmosphere.
Richie heard the bell ring by the door, which meant that someone had come in, he turned around and it was y/n. looking beautiful as ever, he thought.
Richie got up from the booth and waved at y/n, she spotted him and walked over to the booth.
"hey!!" y/n said and sat down in front of him.
"hey y/n, you look pretty" he complimented.
"awe thank you Richie" she replied.
"should we order..?" he asked.
"yep" y/n answered and took a look at the menu.
they both decided to get burgers since it was the most popular food item at the diner. then they started off by having a conversation and bonding.
"right!! i hate the new math teacher!" y/n exclaimed.
"she's such a bitch. i talked back to her the other day and got sent to the principals office, but it was worth it" Richie said and took a bite of his burger.
"i bet it was" y/n replied.
"you know...i've wanted to ask you out for a while now" Richie confessed.
"you have?" y/n asked.
"yeah, i really like you y/n, you're amazing" Richie admitted with a smile.
"i like you too Richie" y/n said and leaned over the table and gave him a kiss.
Richie kissed back in shock, and couldn't tell if it was a dream or not.
"wow-" Richie said in return and out of words.
"you have ketchup on your mouth by the way" y/n told him while laughing.
"oh shit-" Richie grabbed a napkin but kept missing the spot.
"it's okay i got it" y/n said and wiped his mouth with the napkin.
Richie smiled at her and gave her a peck on the lips in return.
