"and i win again" y/n exclaimed, looking proud of herself while Boris looked at her in disbelief.
"again? that's the 4th time in a row!" Boris said in annoyance.
"what can i say? i'm just really good" y/n replied and collected the cards and shuffled them repeatedly.
Boris watched her attentively and admired her for her card skills, almost feeling a little jealous.
"so where did you learn how to play so well?" Boris asked.
"from my parents. they were amazing card players, and i used to play with them every night" y/n admitted.
"it's like the saying, Яблоко от яблони недалеко падает" Boris told her.
"what does that mean?" y/n questioned.
"it means, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, you clearly are like your parents" Boris replied eyeing her.
"yeah well it's based on skills and luck you know"
y/n said and set the cards down.
"do you have a lucky card then?" Boris asked her.
"i think it might be...the ace of hearts"
"cool, my favorite is the joker"
"i'm not even surprised" y/n said while chuckling.
"why don't you make money out of your card playing?" Boris asked.
"gambling? no way, i just play for fun" y/n admitted.
"you're too fucking good y/n. we would be filthy rich if you gambled" Boris added.
"maybe, but what if we lost? then we'll lose our money, and worse things could happen" y/n said.
"whatever you say" Boris replied, being disappointed.
y/n looked over at him and ruffled his messy hair,
and he gave her a small smile and picked up the deck of cards.
"wanna play again? but i'm winning this time!" Boris declared.
"sure we'll see about that" y/n challenged and the both of them continued to play cards for the rest of the afternoon.
