y/n was sitting down in front of the vanity, brushing out her hair, and taking a look at her reflection.
she had come back from her last class of the day, and felt like it was a time for some self care.
suddenly, she heard the door open and her roommate, Miles, appeared.
Miles was her new roommate at the boarding school they both went to; he had a bad reputation since he got expelled before due to him beating someone up. y/n didn't really care about that though, she and Miles had gotten along well, and were close friends.
Miles closed the door behind him, while covering a side of his face. y/n was confused as to why he was doing this.
"what's up with you?" she asked.
"nothing, it's nothing y/n" Miles replied and quickly went to his side of the room.
y/n knew he was lying and got up from the vanity; she went over to him, and gave Miles a look for him to show what was wrong. Miles sighed, and removed his hand from his face, showing a purple bruise on his left eye.
"oh my god Miles, what happened to you?" y/n asked and put a hand on his face.
"got beaten up by Mason and his gang" Miles said while squinting.
"again? when are you ever going to stand up to them?"
"never. you know i can't, i'll get expelled for good this time, and i cant let that happen y/n"
"well we don't want you to get hurt every single day either"
"so what do you want me to do?"
"nothing...just leave it to me Miles"
"what could you possibly do y/n?"
"i said leave it to me. i know what i'm doing Miles"
"fine whatever"
y/n got an ice pack and put it on Miles' left eye. Miles hissed from the stinging pain; y/n was looking at him, feeling bad but also thinking of the perfect plan to stop these bullies from hurting someone she cared about.

y/n was in the woods which was behind the school. this was usually the place where Mason and his gang would come after school to smoke or whatever.
