"Was Happy the one flying the Quinjet?" you asked as you neared the edge of the bridge.
"Yeah," he smiled. "It's how I got here too."
You nodded and moved closer to Peter, preparing for takeoff. He put his mask back on and you put your arms around him as he swung off of the bridge towards the ground.
He found a back alleyway and swung down into it.
You landed on the ground with a soft thud and Peter set you down gently, trying not to hurt you.
You felt a little colder when his hands left you, and you craved his touch again. He made you feel safe in even the worst of times.
"I'll watch you till you get to the main road, okay? Don't worry, I won't let anyone hurt you."
You gave him one last quick hug before leaving.
"I l—thank you," you blushed, trying to correct yourself. You didn't want to push to hard and ruin everything.
He nodded. "I'll be back on the trip, I just...have to go change, figure out what to tell them..."
"Okay."
"Okay," he repeated. You awkwardly turned away from him and cringed at how hard getting back to 'normal,' if it ever happened, was going to be.
You walked to the main road and Peter watched from afar, resting on top of a building.
You pulled out your phone and dialed Sam's number immediately.
"Y/n!?"
"Sam! Sam, thank god you're okay!"
"We're all fine, we're with your..." Happy mouthed behind her, 'Dad's assistant.' "Your dad's assistant.
"Happy! Good. Is everyone else there? Are they okay?"
"Everyone's fine, y/n, you saved us all..."
"Spider-man saved you guys. I'm just a high-tech sidekick."
She shook her head. "We're boarding a new tour bus to get back to a hotel. They've already planned our flights home for tomorrow."
"Okay," you said a little sadly. You wished you'd had more time to vacation. It seemed that half the time you'd been fighting monsters and the other half you'd been trying to figure out a way to keep it all a secret.
"Do the teachers know I'm alive?" you asked.
Sam laughed roughly. "They know now. You might want to hurry."
"Where are you?"
"The Tower of London," Sam answered. "They're keeping the bus for you."
"On my way."
People stared as you ran by. You had become used to it by now, but usually it was because they recognized you, not because you were covered in blood and bruises.
You spotted the group across the street and you ran to them, excited to see that they were all okay.
"There she is! Y/n Stark, saver of the world! What's it like working with Spider-Man? What's it like fighting monsters?"
Flash was shoving his livestream in your face outside of the bus where everyone else was waiting.
Sam pulled you away from him and sent him a dirty look. It didn't stop him trying to record you, but at least he was done with the questions.
"Y/n..." she said sadly, looking at your cuts. She noticed the way your hand was bent all out of shape and starting to turn purple. "You're hurt."
"It's going to be healed by tomorrow," you said quietly enough that Flash wouldn't hear.
