You weren't used to the web shooters and it was hard trying to maneuver them, but Mysterio currently was leading the monster up the canal and you needed to block it off.

You swung in between the buildings and after a few times you got the hang of it. There wasn't much you could do to hurt the creature, as it was made completely of water and so was the canal.

Mysterio was blasting it with something coming from his hands. It looked more like a biological power rather than a machine one, but you didn't have time to wonder or analyze. You could ask questions later.

The monster was going down and water was spraying everywhere. You jumped and shot a web, trying to land so you could run instead of fly.

The water was too strong and the web didn't land. You reached out to try again, with nothing working. The ground was 70 feet away. 60. 50.

The breath was knocked out of you as something slammed into you and pulled you away from the monster.

In a matter of seconds you hit the ground, your  hands catching most of the force.

You saw Mysterio flying away from you and back to the monster. Not a word, but at least he saved you.

You picked yourself up and watched as Mysterio gave a final double blast to the creature. It split into two waves and sunk into the canal, with the water on the streets following it.

You were soaked, out of breath, and in shock.

Mysterio flew over to you, his helmet on. You still couldn't see his face, you'd only caught a glimpse earlier when he talked to you.

He reached his hand out and you shook it. He nodded, thanking you and flew off. He certainly was mysterious.

People were scrambling around, looking at everyone else in panic. You turned back towards the hotel, heart racing and clothes stuck to you.

You needed to find Sam.

You pulled your phone out of your pocket and tried to call her. Luckily, Tony had developed a really cool phone case for you that was waterproof, held 72 hours of straight screentime use, and completely shatterproof. It was kind of necessary with the constant danger you seemed to get in.

She answered after four rings.

"Hey, where are you? Everyone's looking for you, are you okay?"

"I'm fine. I'm up the canal, where are you? Are you by yourself?"

"No, no, I'm with everyone except for Peter and MJ. We can't find them."

You felt a pang of jealousy in your stomach and in your heart. They'd been talking a lot and maybe they were developing into something.

"Okay, are you back at the hotel?"

"Yeah."

You walked back to the hotel, your shoes squishing with each step.

You reached the hotel, everyone celebrating your safe return. A few kids were already changing into dry clothes, and you decided to head up the stairs to change as well.

Sam greeted you, holding out your ice cream. "I kept it safe for you."

You were agitated, not at her, just in general. You smiled anyways, grabbed it, and went up the stairs quickly.

You heard steps behind you, expecting Sam. Instead, it was Flash.

"I saw you use webs! Are you Spider-man? Is he actually a girl because—"
