-Jon's apartment-
-9 am, New York time-
-Alyssa leaves for Duke-

Jons pov:
Alyssa left in 2 hours to go to Duke. Which I didn't want her to leave. 3 weeks was a long time. Alyssa was still asleep. I got up and made us breakfast and coffee. I heard Alyssa open the door. She came out in my sweater and spanks.

I had my phone up texting Averie. She had just told me that she and Thayne had broken up. This was going to hurt Alyssa a lot. Even tho she and Ave are really good friends, it's her brother. I heard Alyssa come behind me. I tried to close my phone before she saw it, but it was too late.

She broke up with him?

I heard Alyssa say behind me.

She did

I whispered.

I can't believe she did-

I heard the pain and anger in her voice.

Alyssa come here

Don't touch me

She said. She backed up. She started going to the door. I grabbed her waist and laid her down on the couch. I laid down on top of her so she couldn't move.

Alyssa you aren't going to do anything stupid before you leave

I told her.

Let me go to Thayne, please

I'm not letting you go

Averie isn't even in New York I can't even do anything to her

She mumbled. I let go of her. She got into her room and changed back into her clothes. I watched as she grabbed everything she needed.

She said and left.

Alyssa's pov:
After I left Jon's I got in the car and headed back to the apartment I shared with Thayne. I came inside and heard sniffles from Thayne's room. No no, I'm not strong enough for this. But this is my brother. I knocked on the door.

Blue its Ri Ri

Come in

I heard him say. His voice was barely above a whisper.

She broke up with me Ri Ri

I know, come here

I said. I sat down on his bed. He hugged me crying. I rubbed circles on his back. Normally he would have gone to Mom, but she wasn't here right now.

Ri Ri you knew about us?

Blue she told me

I whispered. I felt him hug me tighter. I was so upset with Averie right now. How could she do this to my brother? My brother was nothing but sweet to her, Put up with her bullshit. Did anything for her. Took care of her. I was fed up with her right now. I grabbed my phone and blocked her. But I sent one last text message.

Thayne was still crying into my chest. I hated seeing my older brother cry. Vulnerability was never Thayne's and mine's forte.

I looked at the clock and realized I left in an hour. I looked down at Thayne who had gone quiet.
