CHAPTER 14

CALLIE's POV

"I like you, Callie Andres" 

"Y-You like me? As a friend?" I asked. I don't wanna get the wrong idea of what he said.

He said he likes me, he might just mean that he likes me as a friend diba?

"No" he paused atsaka nya ako tinignan sa mga mata ko "I like you Callie not as a friend but in a much deeper way"

I was stunned-- no, I was shocked by what he said. 

I was silent, I was just looking at him, waiting for him to burst out laughing and say that it was just a joke but he didn't, I can only see pure honesty in his eyes.

I averted my eyes from him.

"Stop playing with me Axel" sabi ko sa kanya.

"I'm not playing with you" deretsang sagot nya sa akin.

"You're not playing with me?" sarksatikong tanong ko sa kanya "Ilang araw pa lang tayong mag-kakilala and now you're saying that you like me"

I don't wanna believe him. Ayaw kong maniwala.

My heart is beating drastically right now. I'm wishing and hoping that this is just some kind of a prank. 

"Yes, you're right, ilang araw pa lang tayong nag-kakilala and I don't even know you that much. Pero hindi naman yun ang basihan, hindi oras o panahon ang basihan kung kailan mo magugustuhan ang ibang tao. I think it's like at first sight" 

Like at first sight?! What the hell is that?! 

Imposible! Gusto kong ipilit sa sarili ko na ginagag0 lang ako netong lalaki na toh pero hindi! I have this gut feeling na nag-sasabi sya ng totoo pero hindi ko lang talaga matangap sa sarili ko.

"Quit with your silly pranks Axel" mariin na sabi ko.

"I'm not playing with you Callie, mamatay man ako ngayon dito ngayon ay hindi ako nag-bibiro" seryosong sabi nya.

"You don't know what you're saying, Axel" 

He let out a deep sighed "I won't forced you kung ayaw mong maniwala sa akin pero totoo ang sinasabi ko, totoo and nararamdaman ko, it's you're choice kung ayaw mong paniwalaan but I'm gonna continue liking you" 

"Umalis ka na Axel" I said with a serious tone.

Tumayo sya at naramdaman ko na nakatingin sya sa akin pero hindi ko sya tinignan at nanatili lang ang tingin ko sa kung saan.

"I'll go now so you can eat comfortably" he said.

How can I freaking eat properly after what he said to me?!

"If you don't believe me, I'll prove my self to you" he said before stepping out of my room and closing the door.

What the freaking hell just happened?!

How can he like me?! He can't like me! 

I'm trying to convince myself that everything he said is just a joke but whenever I picture the way his eyes look at me, I know that he's being honest.

But I still don't wanna believe him!

Napaka-imposibleng magustuhan nya ako kaagad! How can he like me?! Wala nga syang alam tungkol sa akin eh! And the fact that we're enemies! I don't like Parvenus!

"Argh!!!!" 

Nag-papadyak ako atsaka ako dumapa sa kama ko at hinampas-hampas ko ang ulo ko sa unan ko pero kahit na anong gawin ko ay hindi sya mawala sa isip ko! Hindi mawala sa isip ko yung mga sinabi nya!
