CHAPTER 34

AXEL's POV

Nandito na ang buong pamilya ni Callie pero wala pa din siya dito. She told me not to pick her up because she was still getting ready but it's been half an hour and she's not here yet. The prom's gonna start any minute now.

Nilapitan ko si Calyx para tanongin siya kung nasaan na ang kapatid niya.

"Where's Callie?" I asked him.

"She's probably on her way, matagal lang talaga siyang mag-gayak" sagot niya sa akin at tumango lang ako atsaka bumalik na ako sa upuan ko.

Me and Calyx's parents are seated at one big round table. Mom is talking to Callie's mother.

After ten minutes the emcee announced that the party will now start but there's still no Callista. Nakita ko na naglalakad palapit sa akin si Sara.

"Axel, is Callie here?" tanong niya sa akin ng makalapit na siya.

Umiling ako "Wala pa, do you know where she is?" I asked her.

"She called me earlier but I wasn't able to answer because my phone was silent" she answered "Anyways, everything is okay now I don't think they'll be a problem," she said.

Tumango lang ako. Sinabihan niya ako na sabihin kay Callie pag nandito na siya na puntahan siya.

"Where's your sister Calyx?" I heard their Dad ask Calyx.

"I'm calling her Pa but she's not answering"

The emcee was already on the stage speaking but my attention was not there. Kinakabahan ako sa hindi ko malamang dahilan.

"I'll call her bodyguards" Calyx said before putting the phone on his ear again "They're not answering," Calyx said, sounding frustrated and worried at the same time.

Tito Calvert stood up and was about to leave when we heard a scream, all our eyes went on the stage.

My eyes widen when I saw Callie on the big screen. She was on the floor while crying. May lumapit sa kaniya na lalaki atsaka sinabunutan ang buhok niya para patingalain siya. The man was wearing a mask, we can only see his eyes.

"I told you to be a good girl bītch!" sigaw ng lalaki kay Callie atsaka siya malakas na sinampal, kaagad na kumuyom ang kamao ko.

"Boss it's already recording" a man who I think is behind the camera said. Agad na humarap ang lalaki sa camera atsaka tumawa.

"Look bítch, everyone's probably watching us including your parents," he said "Look at the camera" the man commanded but her gaze didn't move up to the camera, it just stayed down "Did you not hear what I just said?"

Callie didn't answer him but I can hear her sobs.

Napadaing siya ng muling hilahin ng lalaki ang buhok niya at mahigpit na hinawakan ang panga niya, her eyes are squeezed shut because of the pain that she's feeling.

"Look at the camera!"

She opened her eyes and look at the camera.

"Pag sinabing tumingin ka, tumingin ka ng hindi ka nasasaktan"

"What do you need from me?" mahinang tanong ni Callie.

"Hmm, your life" he answered followed by a loud laugh "But I won't do it now. Do you know what happened to the other girls? The same thing will happen to you"

"Track where they are now!" Tito Calvert shouted, dali-daling nag-alisan ang mga tauhan niya, napapalibutan na ng mga guard ang buong hall para siguraduhin ang kaligtasan ng lahat.
