The next morning Amarah woke up in  her bed. She almost believed it was all just a dream. Then she saw Cristian sitting at the end of her bed. His face rested in hands and his shoulders slumped sadly. Amarah sat up quickly startling Cristian. He quickly stood up and backed away from the bed.

"How did I get here?" Amarah asked him. So many emotions passed through Cristian. Guilt, sadness, anger, and more guilt. "I carried you here." He told her softly. Amarah wondered if he carried her as a wolf or as human. A shiver ran down her spine as she recalled last night.

"Why did you come over last night... I never wanted you to see that... I never wanted anyone to see that." Cristian told her. "I wanted to see you." Amarah said. Guilt flashed across Cristian face again. "I could of hurt you..." He said.

Amarah didn't know what to think. Last night was real. The man that stood in her room, the man she began to have feelings for, was a wolf. She thought that she should be scared. However, she wasn't.  She was just confused.

Cristian notice her silence and shook his head. "I should leave." He said. He started walking to the door. Amarah quickly jumped out of bed and ran infront of the door to stop him. They stood face to face, inches apart. "You didn't!" Amarah said. "What?" Cristian asked with a confused look. "You didn't hurt me." Amarah answered. "You didn't even try to!" She said. "But, I could have. I don't like that risk Amarah!" Cristian said back.

"I stayed away this whole week just to keep this from you." He told her. She shook her head. "You didn't have to. You didn't hurt me." She said again. "Stop saying that!" Cristian shouted at her. "You're lucky to be alive right now!"

Amarah flinched. But, she still didn't feel scared. She just watched this man's body snap and contort until he turned into a giant wolf, yet he didn't hurt he. She didn't believe that he would ever hurt her.

Amarah then step forward into Cristian and hugged him tight. Cristian was caught by surprise but after a few moments he wrapped his arms around her too. "I'm not scared Christian. I'm confused. But, I'm not scared. Don't leave yet please."

They sunk down to floor together, still wrapped in their hug. "I wanted to see you more this week Amarah. I really did. But, as you saw, it's hard for me to around someone when a full moon is close. I had an amazing night on the pier and I'm sorry I distanced myself. I just can't hurt you" He told her. She felt tears land on her. It made her heart leap that the thought of hurting her upset him so bad.

The fact that Amarah wasn't scared of Cristian made his heart leap as well. All of his life he worried that someone would discover his secret and never look at him the same way again. He also worried that he would hurt someone. The day on the pier, when his wolf imprinted on Amarah, the worry of hurting someone grew even stronger. He hugged Amarah tightly, not wanting to ever let her go.
