Ren sighs as she looks in the mirror. Her hair was up in a high bun and it looked weird to her. Maybe it was because it wasn't the messy bun she was use to? It looked too serious to work with her personality.

But what was even more weird then that was the blouse and pencil skirt she was wearing. She felt wrong, out of place. This wasn't her. She was a jeans and t-shirt girl. Or sweats, she loves her sweatpants.

Ren knew she had to look presentable going to court today. This could make or break their family. So no matter how uncomfortable she was she had to push through it. She needed her family.

Wish a deep sigh Ren grabs her large folder and leaves the public bathroom. With fake confidence and courage, Ren opens walks into the courtroom and takes her seat. She sets her folder down and swallows down all of her anxiety. There was not room for that today.

"All rise for the honorable judge Liu." Ren stands and watches as a young man in his late twenties walks into the room and takes his seat.

"You may be seated." He tells Ren and her parents. Once everyone is seated Liu leans forward and looks between the them all. "I have looks over the case records and I have to say there are a lot of inconsistencies here."

"Of course there are. Ren is trying everything to make us look like the bad guys here when we only want to protect our grandchildren." Her mother states like it is a fact.

Liu laughs and shakes his head. "It is not with Yagi that I find there are inconsistencies, Aizawa. But rather, I find them in your testimonies and so called evidence. Though miss Yagi does have a few questionable things on her record, none of them have anything to do with what kind of mother she is, but rather who she was before she became a hero."

"Your honor, if I may?" Ren stands and picks up her folder. "Might I approach the bench?"

"You may." He answers and waves her forward.

Ren does just that. "I will admit that my record is no where near clean. I have done a lot in my lifetime. I was a slave, then I was a soldier, after that a vigilante. But I gave up that life. I am a hero now and I strive to do good."

Ren opens the folder and hands the judge the letter she got from her family. "I am a hero, a teacher and a wife. Sometimes I have trouble keeping up with those things. But I am also a mother. But, being a mother comes before all of these things."

"I strive to make my children happy. Everything I do in life is for them. But I am not perfect and I know that." Ren admits and licks her lips. "I have made a lot of mistakes, but I have never hurt any of my children and I never will. I would never put them in danger."

"These are all things I know, Yagi." Liu states before opening the letter. He reads through it before looking up. "I do not want to hear for either of you. I want to talk to the children. Once I've heard from them, I will decide if this case will go forward or if it be dismissed."

Ren nods and takes the letter back. The weight that was just lifted off her shoulders is beyond compare. She moves back and takes her seat.

"You want to ask children?! This is ridiculous. The children are going to lie to protect her, she is their mother!"

"Enough." Lius voice is loud and demanding. "This is my courtroom and I will run it as I see fit. You will respect that."

"I understand that, your honor, but they are children. Children who are studying at a hero school. Children who look up to hero's. Children that will lie if they think they need to." Rens mother nearly hisses at the young man.

"If you say another thing I will hold you in contempt." Liu makes his intentions known. "Now, the Yagi children are all waiting in another courtroom. I will have them all come speak to me one at a time. Once I am done we will come back and I will announce my verdict."
