Ren growled angrily as her eyes landed on her eldest son, Chizome. His face was covered and cuts and such. He had obviously been attacked this morning, as some of them were still bleeding. She quickly moved to his side and took his face in her hands.

"Who did this to you?" She asked him in a soft tone. Neither paid attention to the cameras that had turned on them.

"Don't worry about it. It's nothing." He promises as he leans slightly into her hand. He had missed her always fussing over his injuries and the way she went into momma bear mode the moment one of her cubs was hurt.

"I am not worried. I am pissed. I want to know who thought they could put their hands on you and get away with it." She scoffs at the notion. The guard behind Chizome snickers and shakes his head. Rens eyes trail to his still bloody knuckles.

"Oi, fucktard." She hisses as she moves around her son. "I will deal with you when this is all over, understand?" The guards' eyes widen and he takes a step back.

"Alright, let's not commit murder today." Tom takes her arm and leads her away.

"He hurt one of my children. Murder is the last thing on my mind. Torture is the first." She huffs as she takes her seat.

"Well can you not let the cameras see you confront him before he goes missing?" Tom snickered as he sat beside her.

"Where's the fun in that." She leaned agaisnt her father's arm and smiled at him. Tom just kissed the top of her head as the trial started.

Ren watched as the prosecutor showed his evidence and called up his witnesses. Each statment just pissed her off more. It was obvious Stain had only ever hurt certain people. He never hurt civilians and he never destroyed property.

"For my next witness, I would like to call Yagi Ren to the stand." He smirked as he turned his eyes on the young woman sat in the front row. She simply raised an eyebrow and stood up. He was stupid and playing right into their hands.

The moment Ren is on the stand the questions start. "Is it true, miss Yagi, that you took in Stain when he was a child?"

Ren raises an eyebrow at the man before her and smirks. "You want to try and rephrase that sweetheart?"

"Excuse me?" The prosecutor glares at her.

"No, I did not raise anyone named Stain. But I did find a young boy by the name of Akaguro Chizome on a beach dying. I took that boy in and raised him." She nods her head towards Chizome. "His father had beaten him to the brink of death and left him on the sand because he didn't like the boys' quirk. Chizome had also stated that he wanted nothing to do with his families business. And for those of you who don't know, that business was human trafficking and drugs."

"None of this is revelent to the case at hand." The Prosecutor speaks up.

"That is where you are wrong. The defendant's name Is Akaguro Chizome. That boy right there is my son. He is a registered hero. His license is a duel licenses; Assassin and Vigilante. He has spent the past six years on an undercover mission. His mission was to infiltrate the villains' ranks and figure out which heroes were working for them. From there he had the freedom to deal with them as he pleased. I have the paperwork right here if you would like to see it. It had to be kept hush, hush you see so only Myself and The Emperor have a copy. I also have a copy of his pardon for all crimes against the government and the people."

The whole courtroom is shocked into silence as she hands the folder to the judge. No one had been expecting that. No one had even thought it a possibility.

"You're telling me that you and the Emperor gave this boy a hero license at the age of thirteen?" The prosecutor laughed and shook his head.

"They needed someone young that held the name of a crime family. Someone willing to help us. As you can guess not many people fill that position. So my son offered his services. We had just left the military camp we grew up in and I believed him to be ready. He spent the last few years learning how to be a soldier. I believed he was like myself, I still do. After experiencing so much pain and suffering, people like us become resilient to it. We know what needs to be done to protect the people."
