*after the race weekend*

Lando's POV:

Finally, time to go home. I love racing and travelling, but these triple headers are draining me mentally and physically. I have way more energy on Sunday night it seems, probably just being happy at the prospect of being at home in my own house, with my own food, in my own bed with my amazing girlfriend. We went back to the hotel: just one more trip to grab our things 'till we can go home sweet home. Sophia headed up to the room early. When I got in, I threw my bag on the floor. And walked over to the edge of the bed where she was sat, scrolling through her phone, the Bahraini moonlight making her look angelic. She said hello, giving me a kiss, then asked a question. "How do you plan on telling the world about us?" I pondered in thought, until a lightbulb idea came into my head. "How about we do a stream tomorrow, and we tell them you'll be around more often because you moved in? The reason why you moved in was because you got a new job as an accountant or something around the corner from the MTC and I offered you a place to stay as it saved you from looking for some apartment you'd have to share with a stranger to move into. And then we don't act any different. I still get to look at my future Mrs Norris as lovingly as I can, because hey, we love to stir the rumour pot don't we? " I said, a smirk on my face. "Wow, nice on Lando. You really thought about it didn't you?". I only nodded. "You have no idea how much I love you Lando," Sophia said, and I just smiled. "You have no clue how much I love you Sophia. Now let's start packing and get out of here, we've got a house to sort out and decorate."

Sophia's POV:

We were going home, finally. I called mum just before we left, making sure she got to the apartment on my base. She reassured me that she was lying in bed now, chilling with a cup of tea. The thought of her being all cosy up in bed whilst drinking a cup of tea like any normal mum made me feel warm inside. She had flown back straight after the race, whilst me and Lando stayed to help the team pack up, and now we were on the plane on them. Zak had booked us two business class tickets, as his little 'well done' to Lando on going into the world and finding someone who loves him just as much as he loves me. When he said that, my heart fluttered, my cheeks heated up. It was true: my love for this man will never be matched to anyone. The seats were split into pods, as we found our seats. They were still in one pod, and as we took our seats, I could see Lando was tired, and forced his eyes open. He began to yawn, causing the infectious sleepiness to be radiated onto my body. Once the seatbelt light flickered off, I pulled up the arm rest separating me and Lando, and patted my lap, indicating that he could sleep against me. He gladly took the opportunity, as he dozed off.  As he slept, I couldn't help but smile. He was so adorable: his lightly tanned skin from the Bahraini sunshine, his brunette curls all messy , falling forward, his skin, which I must say is clear af. Might need a few pointers on the skincare routine to be honest. I  kissed his forehead as he layed in front of me, whispering in his ear. "Sweet dreams Lan,". Whilst he slept, I was thinking to myself. I was super lucky: lucky to be alive after that blackout, lucky to be in possession of a mafia mob, lucky my mum came back into my life, and most importantly, lucky to have Lando by my side through all the pain, happiness, anger and fun times.

We landed after a few hours, Lando awaking at the chime of the seatbelt sign. I told him I came to the airport in a taxi, and so we called up an uber to take us home to Woking. When we got in, the house was exactly how I left it. The floors were clean, the boxes of stuff we had were in corners of the room rather than sprawled out all over the floor, with the decorating bits and pieces in another corner. We both called it a day, and went straight to bed to sleep. We took off around midnight Bahrain time, but by the time we landed, it was midnight here due to Bahrain being 3 hours ahead. We both hugged contently, and I began to doze off.
