Pyrrha and I got up early as usual the next morning. We had our jog and weightlifting session. I started Pyrrha on the training methods that would make all of her muscle pink tissue. It was tortuous, but the payout was pretty good. I also began teaching some basic jujutsu and kenpo to her as well. We'd try out a few martial arts each week and see how much they fit her. Meanwhile, I also began working some of the new skills I'd gained right before coming to Beacon. I first started working on Iron Body. I already had the Hardening quirk, so I think I should be able to pick this one up really quickly. Since Iron Body practice involved getting hit, I trained up my Observation Haki at the same time. Pyrrha felt awkward just hitting me for a while without me doing anything but I assured her this was what I needed to practice.

After our workout we freshened up, woke up our teammates, ate breakfast, then headed to our first class of the day. Today our first class was Combat class. Everyone got matched up to fight each other one on one for now, to gauge where our strengths and weaknesses lie. For today it was against our partners, then based on skill level Professor Glynda Goodwitch would assign us different useful matchups in the future. Ruby got demolished by Ren. She was pretty good with her weapon and all, but I think her overdependence on it started to show. Ren took her down mostly with martial arts. The way he fused Aura and martial arts though was absolutely fascinating. I might have to look into that. The fight between Yang and Nora led to Yang barely squeezing out a win, but they were both pretty badly injured. Jaune didn't even get a chance to blink before he was frozen into an ice cube. And then the time came for Pyrrha and I to face off. I used my weapon this time, since I didn't want it to seem like I was holding back or something in front of such a large audience. When I managed to beat her though, everyone in the room looked at me in awe. Pyrrha, the 'Invincible Girl', was defeated. Even Professor Goodwitch looked pretty surprised at the outcome.

We headed to lunch afterwards.

Yang: Dang Lapis, didn't know you were so strong huh?

Lapis: I know many martial arts.

Yang: Oh a master martial artist huh. That makes wanna fight you too.

Lapis: Sure, if we're matched up. Or after school. Speaking of which. Pyrrha, Weiss, Jaune, we're training after school today. I've reserved a training room.

Jaune: I thought I was the leader?

We all stared at him.

Jaune: Right, right. I'll let you uh be the leader for training for now.

Lapis: You'll eventually have to lead our team, but until you can reach a basic level I'm going to put you through harsh training.

He shivered at that wondering how bad it could be.

Afterwards, we headed to our next class, History. Doctor Bartholomew Oobleck told us that for the course of our school year, we'd be covering history going backwards, so starting from the most recent events and working backwards from there. It was an interesting way to learn, but I didn't mind it. He did speak pretty fast though. He has way too much coffee.

After that, our team split up. You see our third class today was an elective of sorts. Leaders had to go to a Leadership class, which all team leaders had to go to. Meanwhile the rest of us would go to an elective of our choice. Pyrrha and I had decided on going to a Stealth and Security class, taught by Professor Ann Greene. Weiss went to Advanced Dustology, which was taught by the same professor as ordinary Dustology.

Stealth and security was interesting. Professor Greene told us about how our class would cover sneaking into dangerous areas, avoiding detection by both Grimm and people, breaking through security systems, as well as how to guard territory. It was a broad scope for a course, but I kinda worried it felt like this was Be a Robber 101.
