Chapter 13 Mom,Boyfriend,Brother and Me We are all Family Yeah right

My hand was holding Ryan's as we entered the pathways to my brothers castle.I shiver,the bad memories of this place did that to me.I think for a while,why would he want my mom?Ryan squeezes my hand and he points to the castle.My mom was my goal,my brother was the target.We quietly walk the hallways and find a path that takes us to the throne room.Mom was in a bubble,she was awake and pacing,she always did that under pressure."Mom."I whispered.She sees me and smiles then a face of shock appears on her face.I bolt to her prison."Phoenix what are you doing here?"she asks placing her hand on the boundary."Getting you out."I said concentrating on the lock."Phoenix,he wants you to fall for me,so he can shove you,Safire and your dad into the portal of darkness."She said.The portal of darkness was the way he banished all the people from my realm and any one who got in his way.I focus on the lock and a spell forms above it in dark language."The lock you try to open has a price the price all depends on what you want."I said.The lock opened.A hand from the lock swallowed me whole spinning me round and round,all I see is black clouds and wind.I look at my legs and they were turning into a handle of some kind.I see Safire running towards me from the portal see just exited.She springs in the air.I look at myself again my mid section was turning into a hand held mirror.The dark magic rises to my neck.Safire knocks me out of the cloud and replaces me with herself.When the swirling was done the mirror was falling to the ground,I rush to catch her,but before I can I get hit by a black lightning strike.The mirror flies towards the shooter,and surprise sunprise,its big brother."That spell wasn't meant for you honey."He said facing the mirror.She sacrificed her self for me.I see her INSIDE the mirror trying to avoid his(Thinking in a disgusted way)sweet voice and inistent eyes."Now you can't leave me anymore."He said with a smile.My heart ached,she saved me so I could defeat him,so I am not letting her down."Oh,the whole gang in one place how wonderful."He said with a devilish smile.He snapped his fingers and the portal appeared,Creatures piled in,Safire began to quietly sob in the mirror.

A voice in the back of my head said

I draw my sword,Its positive energy flows in my veins like a billions of spirirts in one star.I fell the flame in my eyes the will to win pumps through me like I am during Basketball games.The crest of courage was glowing brighter than the sun itself.The serpent marking disappeared in the ray of light coming from my wings an my heart.The necklace Ryan gave me glowing brighter than it was."True Power of the Phoenix come to me!"I shout louder than normal.My eyes glowing of the sun when my energy is released.I fall to my hands and knees.Ryan rushes to my side,and helps me up.I see the spell killed every Shadow and I weakened my brother so much he was in the floor and Safire's mirror was in his hand.I use a grab spell and take the mirror from his slender hand.The energy whipped me out Ryan had to support me to the portal.Mom held Dad's hand and we left with my brother in the floor.
