Chapter 8 A family reunion

The portal was dark and cold and the hand that pulled me through was no where to be found.After floating around for a few minutes a twister appears and swallows me whole and I land hard onto something or someone.I look a round and see I am back home.There on the coach was my dad meditating."Phoenix your okay."he stated after the portal closed.He steps off the couch and helps me up."You know you could have had something to cousin my fall,right."I state slightly annoyed.He gave a weak smile and let me support myself."Wait,where is Ryan,the town is back to normal right,no more zombies right.Or evil ghosts or paranormal stripes or,.......Stripes,oh stripes."I said weakly.I sit on the couch and bury my hands into my face and I sob."You know I am right here,right," Stripes said.My head shot up and there on the sofa was the little tiger herself.I scoop her up and cuddle her like I was a child with her first pet."Phoenix,Phoenix I can't breathe."She gasped."Opps sorry!"I reply.I snapped back to reality and realized I had healed her."Stripes i'm sorry I left you in the alley,I was angry that she killed you."I state to her."Its okay at least you caught me or I would never have lived."She replied.I think maybe if I healed her when she was stabbed,maybe I can cure her sight.I look at dad and he gives a nod almost like he knew what I was thinking.I put two fingers together and spin them in a circular formation.An with a fling of my fingers the spell leaves my body and lands on stripes sweet insistent head.She closes her eyes and when she opens them I see the most beautiful eyes.They were amber,red with a hint of orange."I can see,I can see!"She repeated over and over again.When see looks back at me from her happy laps she stares."Your so pretty,and unique."She stated sweetly.Dad steps of the sofa again."Phoenix I think its time to get stripes home."Dad stated blankly.I handed Stripes to dad."Goodbye stripes."I state wealky."Bye phoenix,and thank you again,now what my owner really looks like."She replies weaker than me.I pet her head."Dad make sure she gets home and you come back to."I state with worry.He nodded."It might be a little longer then you expect it to be.It might take a while to find her home."he replied.He opened a portal and walk through,and I was once again alone.After a few minutes I head up stairs and rest my eyes.

There was a knock at my room door.I shoot up again and walk to the door.I open it and no one was there,so I shut my door again and head back to bed.

Minutes later there was another knock on the door.I shoot up and on the chair in my room was a girl that almost made me lose my skin.

She was a girl I knew well blonde hair and with a purple high light."Phoenix its okay relax."She replied in a worried tone.I look at her eyes and they weren't snakes they were blue,almost..."Safire."I ask.She nods.I stand up and embrace her in a hug."You saved me,the spell is gone."She stated tearing up.I nod and she lets go of me."You so big and strong,and beautiful."she states looking at me."How did I break the curse on you?"I ask.She looks down."You want to hear the whole story or the how you broke the curse?"She asked sheepishly.I hesitate before I answer."The whole story."I reply.I wanted to know what my uncle and my brother did to her from start to finish.She took a heavy sigh."After are uncle had his son there was a rumor that dad had a child and he was going to give the power of the light phoenix to his child.An he was waiting for the right moment so he could steal me from are realm,but the rumors about the child were true but not of the magic part.I was born as a water nymph,not a phoenix fairy.When our uncle stole me he realized it and was infuriated,but he still changed me into a serpent,well,half way.I faked being spelled but when I tried to run he caught me and fully changed me and he forced me to destroy my realm,but I couldn't water can't destroy fire.So he put me to sleep for eighteen years."She stated shutting her eyes tight so she can try to remembering the whole story.I thought she was finished."After sleeping for eighteen years I finally woke up and I was to far changed to be saved by normal magic,but when you got the crest of courage your powers leveled up and with your anger it exploded and when you hit me with your arrow,well ta-da."She finally finished with a smile."So if your a water nymph,that means i'm a siren?"She nods with a slight giggle.I been noticing she has been giggling and laughing a lot lately.I guess thats what dark magic does to you."Phoenix!"Ryan shouted from downstairs.I quickly shoot of my bed and run down stairs and almost knock him over."Ryan your okay,your not a zombie anymore."I state with my face in his shoulder."What are you talking about?"he asked confused.He didn't know."Never mind."I reply.I hear footsteps down the stairs and I turn around and Safire was at the bottom of the stair case.Ryan's eyes widened."Phoenix I got her you run."He said all defensive.He noticed I wasn't running."Phoenix what are doing?"He asked."Ryan,meet Safire,Safire meet Ryan."I state to both of them.She prances toward Ryan and holds out her hand for a shake.Ryan sheepishly holds out his hand.Safire roughly shock his hand.He winced in pain."Sorry,serpent strength."she stated.
