Chapter 14 Safire the talking mirror

As soon as we got back to the house Ryan carried me upstairs to my room like a love story scene.He pulled the covers back,set me carefully down,lowered my head onto the pillow,then he covered me with my own covers and kissed me on the forehead.An said "Goodnight".

Once I woke up the next morning to see Safire's mirror on my desk facing up.She was sitting in a chair reading a book,a spell book to be exact.She noticed I was awake and put the book back on my shelf,it was weird what she did in the mirror happened on my side of the world but without her there."Morning."she said with a weak smile."Morning."I replied with a scratchy voice.She stood up and walked to my bed(on her side) and started to stroke my back with her hand.I felt it but,I knew she wasn't there."Why did you do this Safire,you didn't have to."I ask her."I did,he was after me and now that I am in the mirror he can't find me so he can't find you.An besides I can see anything or anyone,and I know everything."She said with a happy tone.I shake my head."It's my fault your like this,its because of me that your a mirror."I state full of regret."I swear Safire as soon as he is gone I will break that curse."I state to her.She nodds."An your probably gonna hate me,but,I signed you up for the 1st annual talent show at school."she said with a big smile.I shoot out of bed and face her in the mirror."You what?"I asked all play like."I signed you up for the 1st annual talent show at school."She said again.I wanted to straggle her,but,I gave a heavy sigh and started to think of the perfect song to sing for the talent show.

Safire helped me with the song till about 12:45pm.Then I head down stairs and see mom,dad,and Ryan in the living room.They all stood p at the same time and came in for(a unexpected)group hug.Mom looked at my neck and see saw the necklace Ryan had given me.She smiled at him.She went it her room and came out with a box that me and her picked out and inside was a gift for Ryan.It was a leather choke made into the pattern of barbed wire.He clipped it on and he thanked both of us."How is Safire?"Ryan,mom and dad ask."Good,she feels better know that she can see everything."I reply.Ryan and I sat on the couch while dad and mom where in town shopping."So your evil sister signed you up for the talent show at school!"He said with a laugh.I nod laughing.He shakes his head chuckling.I look at him and he looks at me."Phoenix,I now why I stayed with you,you know,when you asked me why I stayed with you."He said scratching the back of his head."I stayed with you because when I first meet you I thought you were part of a gang but when I saw your face and eyes I knew you were something special.After the experience with Amber I knew no one would,well you know."I nod.He has never shared anything that sensitive before,we have always been busy killing shadows to share are true fellings.He was looking straight ahead of him avoiding my eyes."Ryan?"I ask."Hmm."he asks.I launch myself forward and kiss him first.He stares at me when I pull back,like he was in shock,he probably was.
