Bakugou led me out the hotel and the valet already had his car in front for us. With his hand open the valet tossed the keys to Bakugou.
"Where are we going?" I asked as the door was held open for me.
"Depends," Bakugou closed the car door came over to the other side and took his place in the drivers seat, "Do you still like dancing?"
"Well it's been awhile since I've gotten to," I replied. Bakugou pressed the push start then reached out for my hand. Giving him what he wanted he rested our intertwined fingers on my thigh. Again it a comfortable silence between us but I had to wonder could he feel my pulse from my hand as he rubbed his thumb against the back of it, "So are we going dancing?"
"You'll see when we get there," he let go of my hand and gave my thigh a squeeze before grabbing my hand again. I could feel my face heating up. I looked at him in disbelief but then noticed his ears were slightly red from embarrassment. I gave an all knowing smirk before squeezing his hand then turning my head to the window. This time it was a 10 minute drive and we stopped in front of a large building with an even larger line. Bakugou cut the engine of the car right in front, grabbed a pair of sunglasses from the middle console and got out. Coming over to my side he opened the car door and held out a hand for me. I felt embarrassed when all the people on line turned towards the flashy car.
"Is that Ground Zero?"
"Holy crap,"
"That is Ground Zero,"
"He's so hot,"
"Is he going in?"
"Oh my god it's the number two hero,"Voices roared to life as people realized who Bakugou was. Phones were out getting pictures of him. I understood why he had the sunglasses now as flashes blinded me. Using his own body he shielded me the best he could.
"Who is that with him?"
"Who the fuck is that?"
"Does he have a girlfriend?"
"I thought Ground Zero didn't date,"
"Who does she think she is,"
"She's kinda hot,"Even more voices, especially female voices with negative things to say roared when Bakugou placed his hand in mine. Walking over to the bouncer Bakugou slid his glasses off. Without hesitation the bouncer let us through leaving the crowd of people on line. Leaving one crowd we stepped into another one but of dancing people.
The area was large with lights flashing from led strips. There was a dance floor that sunk into the middle of the room in the shape of a hexagon. Seating with large black hard looking sofas surrounded the sunken area. The column in the middle of the dance floor was covered in mirrors bouncing off the changing color lights with each beat of the music that blared from the speakers handing from the ceiling. There was so much going on. Dancers dressed scantily preformed, the bartenders mixed behind an led lit bar, and people danced to what the dj had playing. I could feel the heavy thud of the base in the speakers. Smiling at Bakugou I pulled him into the crowd. He gave me a smirk back.
"Come on porcupine let's dance,"
"Tsk, who you calling porcupine?"
"The one with the spiky hair who needs to start dancing," I laughed out. I let the music sway me. It felt so good to be out like this. It had been years since I got to do something like this. After having Takara and working, time seemed like an eternity for something like this. Even beforehand, Dante never let me go out like this either. Before I ruined my fun I pushed all my thoughts away and just focused on the music. Some song I didn't know was on but I was enjoying the rhythm and energy it put out. I put my hands up and swayed my hips with my eyes closed, even then I could still see the lights flashing around. I was oblivious to the looks and surrounding.
Bakugou watched the sway of Hanabi's hips. She looked unbelievable tonight. The dress hugged her so well it gave everyone a good idea of what was underneath but covered perfectly. With her hair down she looked like a goddess to him. He couldn't believe what Hanabi had been through. He wished he was the one to save her and she didn't have to go through what she did. But he was glad she was here now in front of him with a smile on her face. His heart was beating faster with each second watching her, it felt like everything was falling into place with her here with him. Bakugou couldn't help but stare and smile as Hanabi seemed to be enjoying herself. But that smile quickly faded when he noticed another man approaching. Without even asking the slime of a man put his hands onto Hanabi's hips.
