[Joey's POV]
I feel nothing, I can't think of anything. All I see is black. Am I dead?
[Shane's POV]
I've been with Joey ever since he blacked out yesterday. He hasn't woken up yet, which really worries me. Then a nurse walks in.
Shane: Have you found anything?
Nurse: Yes, he was poisoned.
Shane: What? By what?
Nurse: We saw that he ate chocolate before, that was the last thing he ate, so it must've been in that.
I tried to hold back my tears. My little Joey was poisoned, but by who?
Shane: Thank you.
Nurse: No problem. Is there anything I can get you?
Shane: No, I'm good.
Nurse: Ok. See ya.
Shane: Bye.
I looked at the lifeless Joey laying in bed. All he did was breath. Nothing. I held his hand, kissed his forehead and whispered
Shane: Please don't die.
I was about to cry when Connor walked in.
Connor: Hey, how you holding up?
Shane: I've been better. He hasn't woken up. I'm getting nervous. Hearing the beeping of the heart rate is what's keeping me going.
Connor: I'm so sorry man. How did this happen exactly?
Shane: Well, he ate some chocolates then we processed to talk, then bam, blackout.
Connor: That sucks.
Shane: The doctor said he was supposed to wake up yesterday. I can't lose him Connor, I can't....
I started to ball my eyes out right into Connor's chest.
Shane: This isn't weird is it?
Connor: No man, let it out. It's alright.
Shane: Thanks.
I looked over at Joey, still lifeless. I tried to fight the tears. But I failed.
After a while, a few people came to visit. Lisa, Sawyer, Meghan, and my roommate Drew even came too. But Connor stayed the whole time. He's such a good friend.
[Joey's POV]
Will this be my timeless end? I see the light at the end of the tunnel. Wait! I need to tell Shane I love him!! Don't take me! I'm not ready!
[Shane's POV]
Connor and I were sitting in chairs by Joey's bed. I want him to see me as the first thing he see's when he wakes up. Then... I hear that dreaded sound. The sound I thought I would never hear
