I looked down at my ringing phone. "Hey Lucas is calling me!" Maya smiled with an eyebrow raised."I'll leave you alone to talk to your 'Lookey Pookey'." I blushed at that. "Hey! I only called him that once in my diary! How would you even know?!" "Cause sometimes I may read in your diary because that thing is hilarious. Plus I'm starving, I'll take a shower, eat, and be back in 20 minutes."

I answered my phone. "Hello Lucas," I said.
"Hey Riley."
"What's up?"
"Riley I need to ask you a question."
"Umm ok what?"
I tried to say that a casual as possible.*the first summer dance is in 9 days! Is he asking me?*

"Is Maya around? I need to ask her a VERY important question. She isn't answer her phone."

I had said that last sentence and hung up so fast I didn't even give him enough time to say the word "but".

"Hey Riles," Maya was about to walk into the room. I had to wipe off the sad and surprised look on my face.

"Your parents told me to get you to the dinner table no matter what it takes or your dad will freak. But I love it when he freaks but I'm also hungry. OH WOAH IS MEE!!! Oh and what did Lucas say?"

"Oh yeah, what he told me..it..err..um.. it was MAGICAL!! Like unicorns throwing up rainbow kitten-puppies magical!"

Maya looked at me smiled and shook her head. "Weirdo. Now let's EAT!"
