Part Six: Lucas's POV

*did that really just happen? Did that just happen?* He just kept asking himself that question over and over again in his mind.
It had all happened in a 4 minute phone call. What he would be thinking about for at least the next month or two.*that totally just happened*
"Maya?" He had said. "Hey Lucas. What's up?" Maya had asked. "We literally stopped texting like 30 seconds ago," I said a little harsh, hopefully just a little. "Oh yeah sorry." She sounded a embarrassed and scared. "Look Maya your driving me CRAZY!!" *did I say that? I can't believe I said, no, YELLED that.*
"What do you mean you psycho!" She had said a little to loudly. *i didn't even think before saying it*
"Well maybe I like you! Maybe I LOVE you but I don't know if you feel the same way!" I yelled a little shocked at my own voice. She was probably as scared as I was so with no way out of it I calmed down and said softer than before,"Maya, I just need to know if you feel the same way. I've felt this way since we "dated" ,I'm making quotations with my fingers, on the subway for 6 seconds." I heard her giggle. " I...I think I love you,Maya."
It was silent for a minute but when I felt like hanging up she answered."But what if I do like you back? Lucas, Riley really likes you, I could never do that to her."
I guess I wasn't thinking very much when I said,"Maya what is more important, your happiness or Riley's?"
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN!" she said in an angry voice."She has always been there for me and I don't want to lose her over some guy I like!"
It now sounded like she was about to cry. "Maya, do you say that you like me?!" I said once again not thinking. "How heartless could you be! I loved you Lucas but I don't think so any more! When you get here tomorrow I'll suck it up for Riley but just for the record!! I do NOT fall for heartless jerks who only care about them selves!!!!"
beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep...
*she hung up.*
She was definitely in tears
*did that just happen. I could of had her if I maybe could of been a little more.. I dont know.. smooth?*
"NO!!" He said at such a loud sound it almost scared himself. "She liked me, and she will again I just have to make it up to her! Yes, that's what I'll do. I will."
Wow I sound like the lead male role on some drama movie but, ehh! What the heck.
