Trigger warning: attempted suicide
At Gothi's hut
Gothi was currently applying a healing paste to Ruffnut's elbow to fasten the healing of the joint, hoping to ease the recovery. There was little she could do besides ease the pain and pray to the gods to let her live. The girl and her mother were asleep, though the girl was stirring in her sleep. That was good, movement ment life. She was still battling for her life, but her chances were slightly improving. Another concern was Ulfhild. There was no telling what she could be capable of if she lost the fight against her mind. Her insanity was always problematic, but it has become worse recently. She was torn out of her thoughts when the girl started talking in her sleep.
Ruffnut:"Ughhh...dad....come...help..."
Gothi checked her forehead and flinched. She had a fever. This meant problems for her recovery, as it would weaken her. She heard her mother yawn, and turned towards her.
Mrs. Thornston:"What's wrong? Did something happen?"
In the stress and worry for the well-being of her daughter, she forgot she had no way of comunicating with Gothi. The old healer simply pointed towards the girl's forehead. Her mother checked for herself and gasped. She knew just as well as Gothi this meant trouble. They would need special medicine. There was only one hope: the Romans. Mrs. Thornston ran as fast as she could to the docks, hoping they haven't left yet. She was grateful for the storm that kept them from leaving. She made it to the docks and ran for the ship.
Titus:"Oh, hello, mrs. Thornston. Why such a hurry?"
Mrs. Thornston:"Medicine! My daughter, she has a fever, which could kill her right now!"
Titus:"Understood. I'll take the medicines we have, let's go!"
He quickly searches the medical stand before sprinting off with mrs. Thornston to the hut. They made it, and Gothi went to work. The next couple of minutes were the most stressful ever for Titus, and he didn't even want to think of how bad it is for the mother right now. When Gothi finally came out, she had a stressed smile on her face. Both the visitors sighed in relief, and Titus left to go back to the docks. Mrs. Thornston just smiled. Her daughter just might make it.
At the Jorgenson residence
Ulfhild was afraid. Afraid of herself, and afraid of what the voices would make her do. She never wanted to hurt Ruffnut. But Vrede told her she did. She had just had her dose of the medicine Gothi gave her, and it put her mind at ease. But the effects were wearing off, and she was starting to hear some whispers in her head. She needed to win the battle for her mind. For the sake of everyone around her.
Mrs. Jorgenson:"Ulfhild, is everything fine?"
Ulfhild:"Yes, mom. Just worried."
Mrs. Jorgenson:"I understand, I don't even want to assume what this is like for you. To fear for your own mind, to hurt people without wanting to do so. Just do as Gothi said, child. Meditate, try to find something to focus on, distract yourself from the tendencies and take your medicine. Do you need anything?"
Ulfhild:"Just, maybe go outside for a moment, to get some actual fresh air instead of what comes through a window."
Mrs. Jorgenson:"Alright, but be back in an hour."
Ulfhild put the fixed amulet in her pocket, and walked towards the Great hall. Her goal was on top of it.
At Gothi's hut
Hiccup:"So you're saying, she's gonna live?"
Gothi nodded with a smile, and Gobber confirmed it.
Gobber:"Oh, by the way, the lass is awake now, if you want to talk to her."

HTTYD "Reboot" (alternate timeline)
FanfictionThis is my personal take on the HTTYD story. The story will include old characters, as well as a couple new ones, and bring more to the less fleshed out characters (Savage, Ryker, etc.). Language warning, also some violence.
