Chapter 10

I woke up to knocking on my door. " Sarah, sweetie, you have a friend at the door." I didn't know brooke or one of the girls had planned on coming over.
I walk downstairs, looking like crap, and see.. Hayes? " um, I'll be in the kitchen if you need me." Mom says and does what she says. " hi." He said with an upset look. " hi." What the heck is his problem? " I was wondering if I had a friend to talk to.." Yeah. Mhm. " go see Katie then." I noticed something must have been wrong when he looked to the ground. " she- she um..-" "- cheated on you." He looks at me confused. " and you knew?" " hayes it's Katie we're talking about. I could have told you this a long time ago.." " so why didn't you?!" " cause your being a dick and wouldn't have listened anyway!" I think I may have raised my voice a little bit. I can see a sort of pain, and sorry in his eyes. He was still outside at the door. Everyone in the neighbourhood probably heard us. " come in." I head to my room as he follows. " Sarah I'm-" "-just stop hayes.. Please." Now I'm the one that was hurt.. "There's no way you can forgive me. What have I done.. I chose Katie over you. You never did anything wrong.. I think I was just mad when I saw you kissing Tyler on the beach that one morning, and felt like Katie was just, there. And I'm really sorry, and I need a friend again. And....-" everything else he said was a blur. He got mad that me and Tyler kissed? Does he like me? What the hell is happening. "-and I can't believe I made you do the project yourself just cause I went to be with Katie and-" "-Hayes." He stopped talking. " y-yeah?" " I forgive you. " I had to say it. I just can't stand not being with him any longer. " you what?" I thought. I just had to do this. I crashed my lips onto his. It felt, incredible. Our lips moving in sync, sparks flying, everything. He put his hands on my waist, and I wrapped my hands around his neck. I could feel him smiling half way through the kiss.

It ended not long after. By now I was basically sitting on his lap. "Wow." I laughed. " that was uh, something." " are you complaining? Cause you know, I can just continue with my day as if nothing happened.." He smirked. " no. It was amazing. I've wanted to do that for so long. " he looked at his phone and saw the time. " it's 5:27 already? I should get going. Mom will probably want me for supper." " stay. Stay for supper. Mom won't mind, and I definitely won't mind." He had a big smile on his face. He dials his house, and his mom picks up. " hello? Hayes? Are you coming home for dinner?" " uh actually I'm have dinner at a friends if that's cool with you? " " sure I don't mind. Just text or call when you leave" " alright, love you." And he hangs up. He looks at me with a smile, and tackles me onto my bed, tickling me to death. " St-stop! Hayes! Stop!!" He stops, and kisses me again. Mom knocks on the door and comes in not long after. " hey, just wondering if hayes was staying for dinner?" " yes ma'am if that's alright with you?" " it sure is, and please, call me Deb." She smiles and left the room.

After we ate dinner, we decided to go for a walk on the beach. I grabbed my shades, but on some shorts with my TNA sweater still on, and we left.
The sun was setting and it was beautiful. As we walk, he grabbed my hand, and smiled. " your so beautiful" my face was probably as pink as the sky now. " stop it" I said blushing staring at the ground. " Sarah?" " Yeah?" He stopped walking, faced me and held both of my hands. " will you be my girlfriend?"
