I stood there in shock. He literally just got out of a relationship like 2 hours ago. I had to say something..
"Hayes, I'm flattered but,...."
"But..?"
"Don't you think it's still too soon? Your just got out of a relationship and you might have only liked me for like 1 hour."
Hayes smirks.
"Sarah, I liked you since you walked up to me and Nash on the first day of school. You didn't even know me and you just randomly started talking to me. We instantly became friends. And I knew it, I just knew that we would end up something bigger than that. I like you Sarah. I like you a lot. And I've always known it, even while dating Katie. Maybe I didn't realize it everyday, but I still knew. It killed me when we didn't talk. I do want to be with you. You make me happy. We can go slow, if you want. We can take all of the time we need"
I think I just threw up butterflies in my stomach. But I do think we should take at least a few days..
I smiled at him .
" I wanna be with you too Hayes. But let's give it a few days. Okay? "
He had a smile on his face. I've seen bigger, but it's okay I guess.
"Okay."
He took my hand and we start walking back to my place. We get to my door, and we both just stand there. " I had a great evening with you Sarah."
" me too Hayes. Let's do this again sometime soon."
"Sounds like a plan" he smiled and kiss my forehead. " I'll see you tomorrow at school." He winks and starts walking. I mumble to myself, " yes you will, hayes grier."
*the next morning*
I wake up to a text message. While I grabbed my phone, I saw the time. 6:00am. It's pretty bright out for such an early time. The text was from Hayes.

Hayes😁: morning gorgeous
Me: morning cutie
Hayes😁: did I wake you?
Me: yes :3 but it's fine! Aha what's up?
Hayes😁: nothing much, do you happen to have a good view outside your window? 😏😝

What? What's that supposed to mean? I got up and looked out my window and saw Hayes. Oh my gosh. What a fool.
I went downstairs to let him in. Mom goes to work around 5 am, and Nathan and my dad usually go out for breakfast and then go meet up with some people to work on dads truck.
" hey, come in "
" are you sure? I don't wanna wake people up"
" as in people do you mean just me? " i laughed, and so did he. We went to my room.
" let's go get some breakfast."
" mm can we please get McDonalds? I haven't head there breakfast meal in forever!"
" whatever you want" he smiles.
Wait, I have to get dressed and stuff.
" okay, I need to get dressed. So turn around, and no peeking." I said in a demanding, but nice voice.
" okay boss "
I turn around as well, cause you no, just incase. I had my bra on for the night so I just needed a shirt.

Hayes' POV
*buzz* * buzz* I turned around to grab my phone cause it was going off. And damn. All I saw was Sarah in her bra and sweats.
" hey! I thought I said no peeking" shit. What do I say?!
" sorry, my phone was going off and as I grabbed it, you were just..... There." She smiled and laugh. " it's fine Hayes. I'll be right back. Need pants. Or are you gunna follow and watch me in my underwear too?" We both laughed.
I checked my text, and it was from
Katie.

Katie 👿: hayes can we please talk, lver breakfast rn?
Me: no.. I don't have any time for you and your bullshit. And besides, I'm going to breakfast with Sarah.
Katie👿: Please let me make it up to you!
Me: no! Goodbye Katie.
Sarah came in, and she looked beautiful. She even did her hair a makeup quickly.
" let me grab my bag and then we can go" she smile at me and grabbed her bag. We walked downstairs and headed out the door.

Sarah's POV

We went for breakfast, and now we're almost at school. My phone goes off, and I see mom texted me.

Momma: hey Sar. Already got your birthday present, and hid it, so don't bother looking for it, cause you won't find it. But if you do, DO NOT open it. Have a good day. Love you 😘❤️

Oh yeah. My birthday is in 2 days.
" who was that ?" Hayes Asked me.
" it was my mom. I forgot my birthday is in 2 days. How crazy is that." We laughed. Once we got into school, the bell rang. " alright, I'll see you after class babe." He kissed my cheek and left to go to class. I did as well.
