Chapter 24

"I-I, I'm so sorry.." I turned my head the other way. I don't think I felt the same way.. I'm inlove with Hayes.. Shawn looked to the floor, with a sad, mixed emotion face. "I understand. I'm so stupid. Why would I tell you this? Your in the hospital and dating Hayes. God I'm so stupid." I pushed his chin up with two of my fingers so he was now looking at me.
"No your not, don't you ever say your stupid again. Your my bestfriend and I love you. It's just not the same relationship as Hayes' and I. And I'm so, so sorry."
I laid back in my bed. I felt so bad.
"Sarah, trust me. I get it. I don't even love you like that. Just as a friend. I just like you. Like a 'crush', and I'm okay with you being with Hayes. Now that I think of it. I'd rather have you as a best friend instead of dating and then ruining our relationship forever."
I smiled and nodded.
"I agree."
All of the boys came in my room with flowers and cards. Nash got me daisies, Gilinsky got me sunflowers, Cam got me white tulips, Matt got me pink tulips, Taylor got me yellow tulips, and Hayes got me a bouquet of red and white roses. Hayes came and gave me a soft, sweet kiss. "You guys are amazing. Thank you all so much. I love you guys" Matt handed Shawn the bouquet of different types of flowers, and he gave them to me. I smelled them all, and I smiled and whispered 'thank you'. He smiled back.
"Good news. You get to leave this place tomorrow night." Nash came and took my hand. "That seems so far away and so long."
"Don't worry, I'll be with you. " Hayes smiled and winked. Of coarse I smiled and blushed. "And you can call me and you know I'll be here in a heartbeat." Shawn nodded with a smile along with that. "I know. Thank you for that" I hugged him. Someone bursts through the door, and it was my mom. "Mom!"
"Baby girl" she ran to me and hugged me tightly. "Are you okay? Did you break anything? Do you remember everything? Do you wanna go home?"
She was nervous and panicking, but I understood.
"Yes,yes, and no." I smiled at her and sorta giggled.
"You don't want to come home? Well then fine. Let me stay with you until you come home. "
I shook my head in disagreement.
"Mom, I have wonderful, amazing, caring people taking care of me. Just because of a minor concussion and a broken leg, doesn't stop me from having fun for the rest of the week. It's just one week. You can go home, I'll be okay. And you didn't have to come all the way over here."
"Well I couldn't just stay at home. And besides, when Hayes called me, he sounded like you were dying. He was so worried about you." I hope she knew Hayes could hear her. I looked at Hayes and he was blushing. "Well I'm not dying. And I'm so thankful for that. I get to have the opportunity to spend my life with you guys. " mom cried a bit, and we all had a group hug.

8:00 pm

It was a long day. Mom went to my hotel and stayed in my room, and she was going to take off tomorrow once I get out of here. The guys went home, except for Hayes. He's staying the night. The doctors had an extra bed, so they out it right next to mine, touching, so he could sleep beside me. "When I imagined sleeping with you again in the same bed, I didn't imagine t being in the hospital." Hayes said. He was quite serious but it was pretty funny.
"Well, we aren't really in the same bed." Now he laughed.
"I love you so much Sarah. I'd give you the world if I could."
"And I love you so much Hayes. I already have you and you are my world."
He kissed me then gave me a hug. When he hugged me, I saw somebody in the window. Jasmine? And Holly? I let go of Hayes. They came in. Hayes stood up, but I took his hand and sat him down. "Look, I just want to talk, and then I'll leave."
Jasmine slowly walked in the room, and Holly slowly behind her. "I was driving the car. The one that hit you. Holly and I were arguing and she wanted out of the car, and I wouldn't allow it, and she grabbed the wheel, and then I grabbed the wheel, which turned straight into you. I was so scared so I took off. But I'm going to tell the cops, and I'm going to leave you two alone." I was shocked. So was Hayes. I looked at Holly. "Holly, is this true?" She stared at the ground and nodded 'yes'. I rubbed my forehead, still shocked that it was them.
"Hayes, I do like you. But I'm doing this for you and Sarah. I can see how much you guys love eachother, and I'm so sorry." Hayes didn't care, and he looked at me and took my hand. "Sarah, Hayes, I'm so sorry for everything. 50% of this is my fault. And you will not be seeing me around for a while. I'm so sorry." She started crying.
"Good. I don't want to see both of you's EVER!" Hayes was getting angry with them. "Hayes no. Stop. Sit down. It's okay." I calmed him down. I looked at the girls. "Thank you. Both of you. And I hope of we see eachother again, everything will be okay, and normal. Not fighting or act the way we did for the past week" they nodded in agreement. They left.
"I'm so disgusted with them. How could they leave you like that on the road, hurt. How could the-"
"-Hayes." He looked at me. Our faces close together. I gently kissed him. We kissed for shout 15 seconds.
"I cannot wait until you get out of here and get better soon. I've missed you." He winked. "Shut up and hold me" I joked around with him. I laid down, and he did what I said. He held me. "I love you, Sarah Belanger." I looked into his bright blue eyes. "I love you, Benjamin Hayes Grier." We closed our eyes, and slowly fell asleep, after a long, tiring, interesting, memorable, beautiful day.
