A/N - Hello, hello, hello I'm reinstating Q&As but not for this round since already have chapters lined up but next round promise start asking question!
Alexandra's POV
"Alexander!" My eyes widened and John squeezed my hand, pulling me forward. I smiled as he towed me forward and bit my lip. God, he's great. "Alexander!" We kept walking and people started whispering and gasping. I felt tears tugging at the corners of my eyes and I fought the urge to just cry. "ALEXANDER!" John turned and grabbed my father by the collar, shoving him into the wall. There were gasps and people shuffled away from us.
"Shut the fuck up." John growled, he pulled him off the wall and shoved him into an empty lecture hall. I closed the door behind us and John shoved Hamilton back angrily. "Do you have any fucking idea what you've just done?" John barked.
"Excuse me? You laid your hands on m-"
"You just dead named and outed my girlfriend!" John roared angrily, I put my hand on his shoulder and he huffed. "Look, I don't care if you don't think this is right but you should, at least, respect your daughter in public."
"My son-"
"Your daughter." John growled, I sighed and leaned against the desk at the front of the room.
"What do you want?" I asked, Hamilton got to his feet and brushed himself off.
"I simply came to invite you and James to Christmas dinner at my place."
"No. James and I will be spending Christmas with family."
"I am family."
"No. You lost that title when you walked out on us."
"Is he invited?" Hamilton asked, glaring at John.
"Yes, my boyfriend is invited because he's family."
"How could he be fami-"
"I love him. He's my boyfriend. He's family. End of story." I grabbed John's arm and started towing him to the door.
"Wait!" I paused and glanced back. "Is that... Rachel's locket?" I glanced down at the locket resting between my collarbones and sighed.
"Yes. James found it while we were packing."
"Uh-...Can I see it?"
"No, you may not."
"Alex, please?" I rolled my eyes and huffed.
"Until you can use my name and pronouns no." John opened the door and I turned to leave.
"Alexis, please?" He begged, I froze and huffed. "Can I see it?" I turned and sighed lightly, glancing at John. He shrugged and I took the necklace off. I opened it and turned it toward Hamilton. He smiled and reached for it. I tugged it away and he sighed lightly. "You were both so small." He smiled, peering at the small picture. "There wasn't a day that went by that I didn't miss you three."
"Then why did you leave?"
"Well...It's complicated." I shut the locket and clipped it around my neck again.
"Alexis." John called lightly. "We're gonna be late."
"Right." I mumbled, taking his hand. "Bye."
"Oh...Um-...Bye." We left the room and I sighed.
"That was interesting."
"Yeah...It was." I sighed.
"What's wrong?"
"He called me 'Alexis'..." I mumbled, John hummed in response and sighed. "Was he just trying to see the locket or-"
"I think he was just trying to see it."
"Yeah, but-"
"Look, Lexis. I don't trust him and I know James doesn't either. I love you and I don't want you getting hurt again. Ok?"
"Yeah...but what if he's trying to be a part of our lives?"
"Or gaslighting you but ya know-" I elbowed him playfully and smiled.
"Maybe."
"I'm just saying...You should be careful, baby."
"I will. Promise." I smiled, John walked me to class and gave me a quick kiss before heading to his class. I sat down beside Burr and got my things out.
"So, transgender, huh?" Burr hummed, not looking up from his phone. My snapped up and I stared in disbelief.
"You weren't even there! How-" Burr showed me his screen and played the video. It was John shoving my father against the wall after yelling my dead name for the third time. "What! Who!"
"Jefferson posted it about ten minutes ago." He shrugged. "You pass very well-"
"Yeah, you pass as a jerk." I quickly got up and hurrying to the back of the lecture hall as several people stared at me. I plopped down and pulled the strings of John's hoodie out to cover my face as the tears spilled down my cheeks. The whole school knew I was trans now. Great."Alexis!" Eliza gasped, hugging me tightly and swaying a bit.
"Have you seen John?" I managed, wiping my tears and trying to keep from crying too much more.
"No. He's still in class. I saw the video. I'm so sorry, honey." She hugged me again and her sisters joined in.
"Your dad's a grade A douche." Angelica grumbled.
"Yeah! He's an ass." Peggy chimed in. I smiled and wiped my eyes.
"And we brought you something." Angelica hummed, she handed me a Starbucks cup and I smiled.
"Thanks but you didn't have too-"
"Yeah, we did." Eliza hummed. "You have something of a rough day."
"Thanks guys." I smiled.
"Which brings me to why I was looking for you."
"You were looking for me?"
"Yeah. You're coming with us. We're going to the mall and you're buying whatever you want."
"But I don't have money."
"You don't need anything. We've got this." Angelica hummed, showing me a debit card.
"Is that John's?" I gasped. "Did you-"
"He gave it to us, stupid!" Peggy giggled.
"So you can buy new clothes." Eliza added.
"Why didn't he just take me?" I frowned.
"He doesn't want you to feel pressured into buying things. Besides, shopping is a girl thing. You're a girl so we're going shopping." Angelica hummed.
"But-"
"You don't have to be embarrassed about anything." Eliza hummed. "We're all girls here. We'll help you figure out sizes and whatever. It'll be fun! Promise." She smiled.
"You can even buy a little something to surprise John." Peggy grinned slyly, I gasped and blushed.
"Pegs!"
"Just saying."
"Whatever. C'mon!" The sisters dragged me out to their car and shoved me. Does this count as kidnapping?
