A/N - ASK QUESTIONS!!!

Alexandra's POV

"So...You're transgender?" I nodded. "And John doesn't know." I nodded again and Laf huffed. "Good luck with that." He chuckled.
"What do you mean?" I frowned, sipping my coffee.
"He gets weird around people who are trans." He shrugged.
"What? He's transphobic?" I gasped, getting nervous. "This was a bad idea."
"No, no, no. I wouldn't call it that. He just doesn't know how to handle it." He shrugged.
"Oh..." I mumbled, Laf shrugged and leaned against the counter.
"I'd tell him before he figures it out." He pushed off the counter and left the room, leaving me alone. I stared at the marble countertop and bit my lip. My phone started buzzing and I glanced at the small display. John was calling. Maybe it's a bad idea to hang out with him. I took a calming breath and answered it.
   "Hello?"
   "Hey, I hope you're dressed."
   "What?"
   "I'm coming to get you."
   "Oh...No...John, please don't?"
   "Why not?"
   "I don't really feel good." I lied.
"Oh...I was just gonna take you back to my place but never mind."
   "I'm sorry."
"It's fine. Bye." He hung up and I huffed, putting my head down.
"Hey, Al!" James chirped. "What's wrong?"
"I've been here twelve hours and I'm already fucking things up." James frowned and sat next to me. "Laf said John gets weird around trans people. This was a bad idea. We shouldn't've come here."
"Alexis-" He sighed. "Just relax. Don't listen to Laf, he's an idiot." I smiled lightly and huffed. "What'd you do?" He asked.
"He was coming to get me and I said I didn't feel good and I think I upset him."
   "Well, you shouldn't feel guilty-"
"I lied to him. I feel fine. I just-...What if he finds out? What if he's mad?"
"Will you calm down? Just go hangout with him. I doubt he cares."
   "How can you say that?"
"He literally kissed your head last night."
   "What! When!"
"When he was leaving. He let you hold his fucking hand while he was driving. If I was a betting man I'd say he's in love with you."
"IN LOVE WITH ME!" I gasped. "He has a girlfriend! Besides, why would he wanna be with me?" James rolled his eyes and got up.
"If you don't go hang out with him I will." He grinned.
"You're nasty. Go away." He left the room and I huffed, staring at John's contact in my phone. I huffed and called him back. After a couple rings he picked up and I bit my lip.
   "What?"
   "I'm sorry...I-uh-I lied." I sighed.
   "What?"
   "I feel fine. I just-...I guess I'm nervous." I sighed.
   "Oh..."
"Give me ten minutes to get ready. Ok?"
   "Yeah. Ok!"
   "I'll see you soon."
"Definitely." He hung up and I hurried off to my room. I dumped my makeup out on the bathroom counter and Laf paused on his way past.
   "What are you doing?"
   "John's coming to get me."
   "Oh...Ok."
   "What?"
   "Nothing."
"Go away." I shut the door and started on my makeup. I finished quickly and picked out an outfit. I don't own any girl's clothes. Everyone on the island pretty much knew us because of the scandals my family has been through so people knew I wasn't born a girl. They wouldn't let me or James buy girl's clothes. I sighed as I pulled on a pair of sweatpants and t-shirt. James had to tie my shoes since I couldn't bend over and I was ready to go. There was a knock on the door and I bounced down the stairs as Laf opened the door.
   "Hey, where's Alexis?"
"I'm right here." I smiled, John smiled and I blushed a bit.
   "Ready?"
"Yeah." I followed him to his car and he let me play music again as he drove.
"Ready to see your PC?" He asked, grinning as he led me through his apartment.
"I forgot about that. I'm still mad about that." I grumbled.
"Oh! Come on! Enjoy the fact that you can play Minecraft on a good PC!" I sighed and John grinned.
"Fine but nothing else. I'm not just friends with you for your money."
"I know that." John sighed, taking my hand and leading me up the stairs.
"It's bigger than it looked on video call." I muttered.
"Uh...Yeah. You're welcome anytime by the way. I'm lonely." He smiled, I giggled and he pushed open a door. He ushered me in the room and put his arms out to show the PC. "Ta da!" He grinned, I smiled lightly and sighed. The LED's flashed gently, displaying a beautiful shade of green. Everything was green. "Do you like it?" He asked nervously, I turned and hugged him.
"Yes but you didn't have to do that for me."
   "Yeah...I did. You deserve happiness."
"Thank you, John." I whispered, John squeezed me tightly and I smiled.
"I'm so fucking glad you're here." He gushed, we pulled away and John pulled out my chair for me. I sat down and he leaned over me. "You can adjust the chair if you need. The lever is right there." He hummed, leaning closer and pointing. I blushed, his face being right next to mine, and shifted in the chair.
   "It's fine." I smiled.
"Ok...Press that button to boot this baby up and these are yours." He handed me a headset and I smiled.
   "You spoil me." I mumbled.
"Yes...I do." He smiled, he sat down at his PC and I started mine up. "Wanna play something?"
   "Minecraft?"
"Yeah. I finished up the farm." He smiled, we got on Minecraft and I smiled lightly.
   "Hey, John?"
"Yeah?" I took my hands off my keyboard and sighed.
"I'm sorry I lied this morning...I'm just really nervous." I sighed.
"Why are you nervous?" John frowned, placing a few blocks and glancing at me.
   "I don't wanna say it."
   "Why not?"
"Just...because-" I grumbled, John smiled and turned to me.
"Just say it, Alexis. I'm not gonna be mad at you. I just wanna help." His stupid smile was so sincere.
"I'm afraid that...you won't like me anymore now that you've met me."
   "What do you mean?"
"We were fine when we were an ocean away from each other. What if this was a bad idea? Moving here. I mean...We've only known each other for like two months! I'm afraid you'll stop-"
"Hey, hey. Nothing's gonna happen. You'll always be my best friend. The miles between us won't change that. I promise you." He smiled.
   "How can you promise that?"
"Alexis...When James told me you got hurt I almost threw up." My eyes widened slightly and John wouldn't look at me. "I couldn't eat. I couldn't sleep. I was so afraid that I was never gonna get to talk to you or see you ever again. My chest hurt to the point where I just stayed in bed all night. Laf and Herc kept asking me to play but I couldn't bring myself to get up." He huffed, looking up at me with tears in his eyes. "You are my best friend and if I ever lost you I-...I don't know what I'd do."
   "O-oh."
"So I fucking promise you nothing with ever happen to us." He huffed, wiping his eyes.
   "Ok." I whispered.
