A/N - I want your precious questions give them to me *evil laugh*

Alexandra's POV

I sighed heavily as I put the last of my sweatpants in my suitcase and closed it up. We leave tomorrow. I'm not excited to be on a boat for two days. John is ecstatic and I'm a little nervous. Don't get me wrong I wanna meet him but-...I don't know. I still haven't come out to him and I don't want him to be...disappointed. James took my suitcase off the bed and sighed. "How do you feel?"
   "Better...still hurts." I sighed.
"Alright. You think you're good to be on a boat?"
"I'll be fine, Jamie." I smiled, he sighed and nodded.
"I just wanna make sure you're ok to do this."
"I'm ready. I'm tired of this fucking place." I growled, James nodded in agreement and sighed.
"I am too." James bit his lip and pulled something out of his pocket. "I-uh-I found this when I was packing." He poured a golden, heart-shaped locket on a matching golden chain. I gasped quietly and tears welled in my eyes.
   "Is this-"
"Mom's locket." James sighed, I opened the small locket and smiled. In the right panel was a photo of my mother, James, and I. I was eleven in that picture and James was thirteen. I smiled at our small faces grinning up at me from the past. In the left panel was an old torn photo of my father. Although James and I held resentment for the man, Mama still loved him. "I managed to hide it but I forgot about it." He chuckled dryly and I sniffed. "She would've wanted you to have it." Mama never had any sort of will or anything. When she died her ex husband took everything and we were left with nothing and no one.
"Thank you." I whispered, hugging him tightly. He gently took the necklace from me and helped me put it on.
"It's a shame she wasn't here to see you become a beautiful young woman." James chuckled, holding back tears.
"Thank you, James." I smiled, wiping my eyes under my glasses. My laptop chimed and I huffed, trying to pull myself together. I answered the video call and smiled.
"Hey!" John grinned. "Guess who leaves tomorrow."
"Me!" I giggled, John chuckled and leaned back in his gamer chair.
"I can't wait." He smiled. "Text me when you dock so I can come get you."
"Um-...I won't have WiFi. My laptop won't work."
"Oh...Right. Um-...I can give you my phone number?"
"Ok." I smiled, blushing a bit. He gave it to me and I put it in my phone. I texted him 'boo' so he'd have my number and he laughed when he saw the text.
   "You're cute."
"Whatever. How are you and Martha?"
"Fine. Thanks for asking. She's planning to come visit next month." He smiled, I forced a smile but couldn't help but feel a little guilty. He seems happy right now. I know he isn't always happy and you can't always be happy but with her he doesn't always seem happy. I would go as far to say that he loathes her calls and texts. He complains about her a lot and I just feel like he deserves more than her. I won't say anything. He looks away so I'll keep him happy. That's all I want.
"What are you two gonna do?"
"I don't know yet. I think I'll show her the city then we can get dinner." He smiled.
"That sounds like fun." I smiled. "I'm sure she'll love it."
"I hope she does." He smiled, still playing his game.
   "What are you playing?"
"The Kentucky Fried Chicken Dating Simulator."
   "What?"
"It's a meme game. I'll show you when you get here." He smiled.
   "Awesome." I giggled. "Can't wait."
"God, I can't wait for you to get here. I'm gonna hug you until you die." He laughed.
"Oh no!" I laughed, we chuckled and fell silent.
   "I'm so excited."
"I am too." I giggled, John smiled and paused his game.
"Did you get a new necklace?" He asked.
"Oh...wow...How did you notice?" I chuckled.
"I'm observant. I pay attention to those who are close to me." He smiled, I blushed a bit and giggled.
"Very nice." I held up the locket and smiled lightly. "It was my mother's. Jimothy found it while we were packing."
"I heard that!" James called from the kitchenette, John snorted and I giggled.
   "'Jimothy'?" John chuckled.
"He hates it when I call him that but I think it's funny. I only get to call him that when I play some kind of card."
"Ah, very nice. I can't do that to any of my siblings. I'd get in trouble. Besides...We don't really talk that much." He mumbled.
   "Oh...Wow."
"Yeah...I mean...Henry and Martha stay shut up in their rooms and James basically hates me. Mary's two so-" John shrugged and I smiled sympathetically. "I guess we really are on the complete opposite sides of the spectrum." John chuckled dryly and I smiled.
   "Yeah...I guess so."
