A/N - I SAW A TIKTOK OF A PICTURE OF A MAN AND PEOPLE THINK IT'S DREAM AND THERE'S AND I HATE THAT I THINK IN PICTURES also ask questions for the Q&A

Alexandra's POV

"Hey!" John grinned, I frowned and shifted.
"Hey...Are you ok? You look upset."
"I'm fine." He hummed, sitting up. I blushed hard. He was shirtless and his blonde hair was a mess, hanging in front of his ocean eyes. It was hot. No. No. No. He has a girlfriend.
"You're a terrible liar. What's wrong?" I asked, laying down and sighing.
"It's fine. Why'd you call me?"
"I just wanted to talk. Jamie doesn't get home for awhile and I can't sleep so-...Is this a bad time?"
"No, not at all. Why can't you sleep?" He hummed, standing up and taking his phone with him.
"Um-...I can't sleep without another person in the bed. I know that sounds weird and dumb but I've never had my own bed. Jamie and I have always shared a bed and I can't sleep without him with me."
"That's kind of sweet." John chuckled, I smiled and wrapped up in the blankets.
"How was your date?" John set me down on a bathroom counter and leaned against it.
   "Uh...fine." He smiled.
"Still a bad liar. Tell me what happened!" I smiled. "Are you aware that you're not wearing a shirt?"
"Oh, yeah. I'm getting ready for bed. I'm not putting one on and you can fight me." He grumbled, I giggled and fixed my laptop camera. "I guess...I don't know. It went just like every date does."
   "Oh...How's that?"
"Well...She makes fun of my outfit and then she goes through my phone and accuses me about whatever she can."
   "She goes through your phone?"
   "Yeah." He shrugged.
"Uh...This might come off weird but you should break up with her." John frowned at me and I sighed. "That's not a healthy relationship and you said that happens every time." I mumbled.
   "We're fine."
   "John-"
"I said we're fine, Alexis!" I jumped at the sudden aggression and John sighed putting his head down. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get upset at you. I just-...You're right but-...It's complicated. You wouldn't understand."
   "Oh...Ok. Are you ok?"
"Um-...No." He sighed, lifting his head and looking at me.
   "Wanna talk about it?"
"No-...Why is she like that? Why can't I have my privacy? Why is everything I do wrong? Why can't I do anything right? I shouldn't have piercings. I shouldn't have shaved my hair. I shouldn't dress the way I do. I-" He put his head down again and sniffed. "Why can't I do anything right?" My heart broke. I couldn't do anything. I wanted so badly to hug him and tell him everything was ok but I'm thousands of miles away and there's an ocean between us.
"Hey...That's not true. I like your piercing and your hair. It's cool. It makes you unique. It's who you are. You're just expressing yourself. You should be able to express yourself." I smiled, he looked up at me with dewy ocean eyes and sniffed.
   "You like it?"
"Yeah, it's very cool." I grinned, he smiled and wiped his eyes.
   "Thanks, Alexis."
"It's the truth." I hummed, he chuckled a bit and grabbed his toothbrush. "So...What are you gonna do?"
"I don't know." He managed through a mouthful of toothpaste, I giggled and he spat in the sink. He rinsed and threw the paper cup away. "I'm not breaking up with her." He sighed, my smiled faltered a bit and I sighed.
"Ok...If you ever need to talk, I'm here."
"Thanks, Alexis." He smiled, picking up the phone and trudging back into his bedroom.
"Hey, what are friends for?" I grinned, he flopped in his bed and grabbed a book off his nightstand. He propped his phone up and opened the book. "What's that?"
"Huh? Oh...My sketchbook." He smiled, showing me the cover. I smiled and yawned.
"Cool." I mumbled, getting pretty drowsy.
"Maybe you should try to go to sleep?"
   "I can't." I grumbled.
"Well...You seem pretty tired." I glared at him and he sighed.
"If you wanna go you can." I mumbled.
"I don't wanna hang up. I just-...You seem tired and I think you should try to get some sleep."
"I can't. I-...I'm scared." John looked up and frowned a bit, pausing his sketching.
   "Why?"
   "I-...I've never slept alone."
"Are you afraid of waking up alone?"
"Kind of." I sniffed, John smiled and shifted.
   "I'm here."
"It's not the same thing, John."
"I know that but-...You helped me, I wanna help you." I blushed a bit and John smiled. "Why don't we just talk and if you fall asleep, you fall asleep." He hummed, shrugging a bit and turning off his lamp. He pulled a flashlight out of his nightstand drawer and propped it up on a pillow.
"Um...ok." So we talked. We talked about video games and college. Soon I was fighting to stay awake and I gave in, falling asleep.

"Uh...What?" I heard James mumble, the door closing. I yawned and shifted.
   "Jamie?"
   "You fell asleep? Alone?"
"Not alone. John was-" I looked at my laptop screen and quickly shut my mouth. John was hunched over his sketchbook snoring quietly with his blonde hair hanging in front of his face. I smiled, he was cute but he had a girlfriend. James peered over at the laptop and smirked.
"When's the wedding?" I rolled my eyes and ended the call, closing my laptop.
   "He has a girlfriend."
"So? I don't think a friend would stay up 'til two a.m. with you because you can't sleep." James grinned, I sighed and put my laptop on the dresser.
"He has a girlfriend, James." I laid back down and James rolled his eyes. He got ready for bed and laid down next to me.
"I'm just trying to help you, Alexis." He hummed drowsily.
"I know." I huffed. "He doesn't like me. I don't like him. We're just friends."
