~Taylor's POV~
I watched as Acacia gave Nash a hug for his help. Somehow it made me feel good seeing the two around each other without acting like complete idiots. Hayes and I walked out of the room giving them space. I walked into the living room and saw the babies in their car seats. I took my phone out and took a picture. The two seemed so peaceful.
"How does it feel being a daddy?" Hayes asked.
"Awesome. It feels so surreal. To see them sleeping right in front of me. I never thought I would ever see this. Not after loosing Aaron Nash. I just didn't expect this. He would have been almost two. A big brother."
"Hey but he can still be their for them. In spirit and as their guardian angel."
"And they have you too."
"Always."
Hayes then left the room and went to the kitchen. I sat down on the couch and stared at my babies. Both were beautiful. It's funny how a guy like me changes when something like this comes into my life. My wife and kids. The best thing ever. I smiled at my thoughts and then saw Acacia and Nash walking down the hall. I stood up and waited until they made their way to me.
"Here they are. Shawn and Noelle." She said in the most angelic voice ever.
"Congratulations. They're adorable."
"Thank you."
I felt Acacia's arm wrap around me. I lifted mine above her head and rested it on her shoulder. Pulling her in closer. Nash just staring at our kids. He must be thinking. I heard a familiar ringing not realizing it was a cell phone.
"Hello?" Acacia asked.
I looked confused. Her facial expressions a bit confused. She pulled away and sat on the couch. Her arm resting on her leg and holding her head up. She shook her head as in disbelief.
"Yeah. But why didn't you tell me?... I could have helped with something at least... No! I get that but I owe you one. Yes... A few days ago... That doesn't make me crippled... Okay. Saturday... Alright... Yeah. Just call me if anything... Bye."
I stared at her as she hung her phone up. She looked up at me and smiled.
"It was Jack. They got a fine. They were caught smoking and their landlord kicked them out. So now they're moving into JJ's mom's friends house. And they have until Sunday to leave. They were wondering if we could help."
"Yeah. Saturday? I'm guessing since you said it."
She nodded her head. I smiled and sat next to her. As Nash sat down it got a but awkward. We sat there staring at nothing. I could hear Hayes on the phone or playing his X-box.
"Oh! Taylor said I could stay the night. Right?"
"Yeah. We'll give you some blankets and you can sleep on the couch if you want."
"That's fi-"
Whaaa!!! Whaaa!!!
I looked down and noticed Shawn was crying. But for what? I looked at Acacia who was now standing. She unbuckled him and softly picked him up. I watched as she craddled him so carefully. Though he was still crying. It was perfect.
"Tay? Can you give me a hand?"
"Of course!" I said a bit to quickly.
"I need a blanket. So I can cover him up."
I nodded and walked to their room grabbing a blanket from the dresser. I walked back to the living room and heard Shawn's cries. I handed the blanket to Acacia and she took it covering her and the baby up. He must be hungry. Acacia had chosen to breastfeed the twins so they would be healthy and all natural. She sat down adjusting herself. I sat back down next to her.
"Are you guys hungry? I can go and run to get some food." Nash said breaking the silence.
"Yeah. Hey why don't we go get food. Hayes can stay here with the babies and Acacia."
"Okay." Nash said.
We both stood up and got ready to leave. Nash and I making or way to the car. As we got in it was a bit quiet at first.
"Hey thanks again for letting me help with the room."
"It was the least I could do. After being an ass to you. You know? I mean I'm not sorry for it but I don't think I was fair for you."
"Well I'll take it. You know I was always jealous of you."
"Me? Why the fuck would anyone be jealous of me."
"Because you got Acacia. You have a house. You're married to her. Kids. My brother and sister. My mom. Your life is a dream."
"Now don't get all sentimental Grier. But my life isn't perfect. Acacia and I have a lot more downs lately than ups. She left me for someone else. She started smoking. Drinking. Now I know that's how she was in high school and all but she quit then continued it. I mean so far the best things that's happened to us are Hayes moving in the house and the babies. I brought you here so she could at least show some type of affection. She loved and always will love you. And when you're around her its like you bring her good side out."
"I never saw it as that to be honest. I never thought you'd be in a tough position. I guess I was to caught up in hating you that I never really noticed your marriage was falling apart."
"Grier can I tell you something?"
"Sure. Can't hold anything back now."
"If we ever get a divorce I want you to marry her."
"Why?"
"Because you love her. You look at her like she's the only girl in the world. Like she's got your whole attention. Because you're a good man. And I know you'll love her and the kids just as much and as if they were your own."
"Taylor. Don't talk like that. Acacia loves you. When we were in the room she told me that she didn't know how she'd repay you for bringing me here. That if it weren't for you she would probably be a drug addict or lying dead somewhere. She said you saved her life after everything that happened between the two, three of us. She loves you because you give her the world."
"Thanks dude. But man! Look at us. Two grown guys getting all sappy and shit. I think we need some drinks to bring our manliness back. You down?"
"I'm definitely down."
