Chapter 26: Baby Shower (Part 2)

~Acacia's POV~

Lia and I sat down on the couch talking. Jc brought us our drinks and then left to find Kian. Lia and I actually had a lot in common. Plus I think she's perfect for Jc. She's super sweet and was well respected. Taylor had told everyone the food was done and brought me a plate. I kissed him and started eating. Lia came back and we continued to talk.

"So I know you and Jc dated but is it weird?"

"The friendship? No. I think we were better off friends than boyfriend and girlfriend. Plus he doesn't make it awkward. Sometime I forget we even dated."

"Ugh! I know right!" Jc said while sitting down.

"Hey Acacia. Congratulations! I would have told you earlier but everyone was surrounding you."

"Thank you Sammy. And its no big deal."

"Are you excited?"

"Yes! I can't wait for them to be born. And to be out of me."

"Well uncle Sammy will always be here." He said into my belly.

He hugged me and then went to go eat. The house was full of laughter and smiles. Conversations were everywhere. About a few hours into the party everyone had eaten and mingled. Now it was time for the games.

"Excuse me!!!" Hayes yelled.

The house soon began to fall silent.

"As you can see we have mini stations for games. Guys versus Girls. We're gonna see who's the better parent. Sex wise. Sky will be writing down the points. Everyone ready?"

"Yeah!!!" The guest yelled.

First game was feed the baby. A game where one person plays the mom and the other plays the baby. Whoever finishes the bottle the quickest wins. There was six pairs. Lia and Me. Andrea and Jenn. Zoella and Bethany. Chris and Crawford. Taylor and Hayes. Kian and Ricky. In the end Andrea and Jenn won. Next was the cotton ball game. Whoever got the most cotton balls win. Mama Grier, Camilla, and Mahogany played for the girls. Sam P., Matt, and Carter played for the boys. The girls lost by twelve cotton balls.

The third game was the poop game. Someone melted different types of chocolate and placed them in diapers. You were to get five seconds to smell the "poop" then write your answer. Whoever got the most right won. The girls team was Lily, Rebecca, Skylynn and Meghan. The boys team was Shawn, Jack J, Sam W. and Aaron. Once again the boys had won by one poopy diaper. The next game was Baby Babble. Everyone had to play this and whichever sex finished first won that round. Unscrambling the words was easy and hard. The girls finished first sk they won the point.

The last game and the tie breaker was Baby Price is Right. Once again everyone was playing besides Skylynn because she had the answers. We had to guess what each item would cost and whoever was the closest would win the games. After everyone had written their guesses Skylynn called out the prices. Shockingly the guys won. They bragged for awhile knowing we would be a bit upset. But once the cake came out everyone forgot about it. Taylor and I cut it together and handed it out to everyone. The cake was gone by the time everyone had at least gotten a piece.

At some point in the middle of eating my cake. I got a sharp pain shooting through my stomach. Then all of a sudden I couldn't help but scream.

"MY WATER BROKE!"

Everyone stopped talking amd looked at me. Mama Grier jumping up and helping me up. And sure enough there was water where I was sitting. Everyone started freaking out and talking all at once. Everyone hopped in their cars while Taylor and Will helped me get into Mama Griers. Hayes grabbing the baby bag and Skylynn locking the door. The contractions were killing me. Mama Grier was driving as fast as she could. Occasionally a scream would come out of my mouth. Taylor squeezing my hand. Skylynn and Hayes freaking out. Will telling me to keep calm.

We reached the hospital and saw all the guest in a big crowd in front of the entrance. Walking in all together the nurse put me in a wheel chair and pushed me to a room. Leaving everyone behind.

~Taylor's POV~

I watched as the nurse took Acacia into the hospital room. I had to stay back and fill the paperwork out. I wrote down everything quickly and made sure the guest were okay with stay or they could go home. After getting everyone's answers and thanking them I rushed to the room. Acacia screaming the second I got there.

I ran to her side and took her hand in mine. She was in a lot of pain from what I could see. She was sweating and was put into a hospital gown. Everytime a contraction would come her grip felt like it was cutting off my circulation. I had told Hayes to call Cameron and Lexi. My mom walked in waiting to see her grand babies be born. She had a video camera with her. Filming us waiting.

The nurse came in and gave us the news. It was time for Acacia to push. She was dilated enough to start pushing. I was a bit scared because the babies were only 8 months. She looked at me. The doctor rushing in. Hayes was face timing Cameron and Lexi as they got to see what was happening.

"Okay. Acacia are you ready?"

"Just get them out of me!" She yelled.

Her grip tightening. The doctor and nurse instructed her to push. Her face was dark red with each push. She screamed and before we knew it Shawn's head was visible. With another push Shawn was fully out. I let go of Acacia's hand and cut his umbilical cord. I heard her yelling and saw Noelle's head coming out of her. I watched Mama Grier cry as she helped wipe off Shawn.

My mom crying behind the camera. Hayes freaking out. Then with one long push Noelle was crying her lungs out. I cut her umbilical cord as well and watched as Acacia held Shawn for the first time. They handed Noelle to me and as I took a look at her I was in love instantly. The doctor said it was normal for twins to come out early and they were perfectly healthy. I sheded tears as we switched off babies.

My mom taking pictures. Mama grier doing the same thing. I kissed Acacia's sweaty face and looked down at the babies. Sleeping peacefully.Our moms each took a baby and cried. Hayes took pictures of them while Acacia pushed out whatever else she had to. The nurse asking me questions about the babies.

Shawn Alexander Caniff. Born on August 13th at 11:34 pm. 7lbs. 6oz. 19 inches.

Noelle Amber Caniff. Born on August 13th at 11:46 pm. 7lbs. 7oz. 17 inches.

I watched as the nurse typed everything in. I signed the birth certificates and then walked out to tell everyone the babies were born. Everyone jumped up and down and yelled. I let them see the photos and I heard "awe" come from everyone's mouth. Even the guys'. I couldn't of been more happier in my life than I was right now. I walked back to the room with Skylynn holding my hand.

Hayes was holding Noelle and talking to her. Skylynn sat down on the chair and my mom lightly set Shawn in her arms. Skylynn was so happy she could hold him. I took pictures while Acacia slept. Hayes was just as excited. He whispered in her ear as I saw Noelle wrap her tiny fingers around Hayes' big finger. This right here was everything I needed in my life. Nothing more nothing less. Everything was perfect.
