Chapter 28: SURPRISE!!!

~Taylor's POV~

WHAAAAA!!! WHAAAAA!!! WHAAAAA!!!

On went the crying. Acacia was laying in the hospital bed asleep. We were close enough to hear all of the babies in the other room. She seemed so peaceful when she slept. I tilted my head against the back of the chair. Closing my eyes. Thinking about how different its going to be when the five of us go back home. Mama Grier had left to let Skylynn get some sleep. My mom left because she had to take my dad to work in the morning. Most of the guest went home.

A slight knock was coming from the other side of the door. I brought my head forward and opened my eyes. A nurse wearing green scrubs walked in. She smiled and walked over to Acacia's IV's. Adding more fluid to them. She carefully checked her heart beat making sure not to wake her. Acacia barely moved. When she was done she nodded at me and shut the door as quietly as she could. I went back to my previous position amd fell asleep.

*Next Morning*

"Oh yeah. He doesn't mind." A familiar voice said.

I awoke from my slumber and saw Mama Grier sitting next to Acacia. Skylynn looked like she was listening to music. I lifted my head up a bit. A kink at the bottom. I rubbed the base of my neck before cracking it. I fixed my posture and smiled a pose to saying Good morning. Acacia looked at me and smiled. I got up off the couch and walked over to her and kissed her good morning.

"How'd you sleep?" Acacia asked.

"Not very good. You?"

"A bit better since I didn't have the twins kicking my stomach."

"That's good. When are they bringing the babies back in?" I asked wanting to see my new kids.

"They should be here any second. The nurse went to go get them."

"Oh good."

"Taylor. Skylynn brought you some donuts. There right by the sink." Mama Grier said.

"Thank you. Where is Sky?"

"Hayes took her to the cafeteria to eat some breakfast."

"Oh okay. Goodness this is amazing." I said taking a bite of  a chocolate donut.

*Knock knock*

The door slowly opened. A nurse walked in taking Acacia's blood pressure and then another walked in. She was pushing the cart with the twins in it. I quickly ate my donut and washed my hands. I took Noelle in my arms. Her small little body warmed up my arms. Mama Grier held Shawn. She was smiling really big.

"You're gonna be the most beautiful girl I know." I whispered in Noelle's ear.

I sat down next to Acacia and handed her over so she could eat. Acacia chose to breastfeed since she didn't get the chance to when we had Aaron. She covered her boob a bit and waited until she was done. All of a sudden Shawn started to cry his little lungs out. Mama Grier patted his small back but it made him cry more.

I couldn't help but get up off the bed and walk over to her. She handed him over and immediately his cries became louder. Shhh. I whispered in his ear as I patted his lower back. WHAAA!!! I laid him on his back and rubbed his stomach. His crying stopping right away. When Noelle finished eating, Mama Grier took her and I gave Acacia Shawn. He acted like he was never fed before.

I watched Mama Grier burp Noelle then rock her to sleep. Hayes and Skylynn walked in a few minutes later. Skylynn immediately going to her mom. Hayes came and sat next to me and looked at the girls. And mumbled something under his breath.

Then came the familiar cry. This time is was Noelle. Mama Grier rubbed her stomach but it made her cry more. Then she laid her on her stomach and rubbed her back making her stop and whimper a bit before completely stopping.

I felt my phone vibrate and I looked at the caller I.D. Cameron. I picked it up and answered. We talked for awhile before hanging up. Acacia had handed Skylynn Shawn when I was on the phone. She carefully held his head and talked to him.

"LOOK! MAMA HE SMILED!" She insisted.

"Shhh! Don't make him cry Sky."

"Sorry mama but he smiled at me."

"Well he likes you then."

"He likes me more than you." She said laughing.

I watched them interact with the babies. They looked so delicate and small when they were sleeping. I had already built this over protected Dad wall over them. Skylynn handed the baby over to Hayes. He seemed so happy to finally hold one of them. He kept whispering in his ear and laughing to himself.

I took a picture because these were memories we couldn't forget. Mama Grier handed over Noelle and said she had to get home to make dinner and do some errands. We told them goodbye and talked about how they acted with the babies.

"Mom seems like she's gonna have baby fever for awhile."

"Oh she will. But she can see them whenever she wants. She's a big help." Acacia said.

"I think Shawn actually likes me." Hayes said smiling.

"Well you are like his big uncle."

"Like? Taylor I AM his uncle."

"Right. Well get used to him so you can babysit him."

"Hahaha. Right."

WHAAA!!! WHAAA!!! WHAAA!!!

Shawn started crying again and I told Hayes what to do. He stopped and fell back asleep. It seemed like he was gonna be the cry baby and Noelle was gonna be the quiet one. I watched as Acacia rubbed Noelle's back. Suddenly the door opened to the room. A figure appearing in the doorway.

Acacia's mom and dad walked in. I turned my head to look at her face. Her mouth opened then all of a sudden tears came down like Niagara falls. Her parents walked in giving me a hug and then walked over to their daughter. Kissing them. I could tell she was really happy.

"Did you know about this?"

I nodded my head.

"I planned it for you."

"Thank you." She said through a smile.

I watched as her mom took her grand daughter in her arms smiling. Hayes handed Shawn over to his grandpa and I took pictures. I've never seen them so happy since the day we got married. They never knew about Aaron because Acacia wasn't talking to them then but I thought they deserved to know their grand children.

They talked as they held the babies. I couldn't understand because they were talking in spanish. It must have been a good conversation because Acacia broke down crying and her mom did too. I sat next to Acacia and comforted her as she cried. I thought they'd be happy not sad. I thought.

"Thank you." Acacia said once she was all cried out.

"Of course. They deserve to be here. And you needed to see them."

"They said Luke is going into the first grade already and that my grandma really wants us to go down there."

"Well I can sew what I can do and try to gwt us to go down to visit her."

"Promise?"

"I promise you." I said kissing her.

"You're the best. You know that right? I could never replace you."

"Good because I love you to the moon and back."

Yeah I know its a bit shitty but oh well. I finally updated. And I need some ideas. So could you guys please comment some. Also this was suppose to be up earlier but then I had to start on my homework but yeah. Maybe I'll try and squeeze another one in. But that's all I've gotta say. Oh yeah are there any 5sos fans?
