Minjun's body felt clammy and frigid.
If it wasn't for the dreaded feeling spread through his frozen body, he would have dashed out of the window. But, the boy couldn't move. A petty trembling took over his hands and legs, however, the fear to move forwards paralysed him.
"I‐I'm suh-sorry..." Minjun's voice fluctuated and staggered, uncertain with building hiccups.
"Don't give us that shit, kid," Yoongi began, "you're only sorry because you got caught. Now, come here."
While his words penetrated the boy's ears, Minjun felt a weight on his limbs, disabling him from obeying. The anxiety and awareness for what was to come discouraged him to the full extent.
He wordlessly watched as Namjoon passed him and shut the large window with a terrifyingly peaceful expression. Then, the leader turned and took ahold of the teenager, who suddenly came to life as he was dragged out of the room.
He tossed his arms and feet everywhere, writhing his body in a way that he hoped would cause the man to unhand him.
"If I have to drop you it's head-first," Namjoon snarled, a warning to the upset teenage boy. He fell slack, lamenting against the gang leader as he accepted what was to happen.
Ear-rending wails irritated five gang members as their living room was intruded on by Minjun and the two gang members.
"Jungkook, I want you to take this."
The youngest of the group shot a displeased look towards his boss, "I hate him, I don't want to touch him."
"You don't have to touch him, just make him regret what he did," Namjoon spat, launching Minjun down onto the floor in front of where the men sat. He folded himself up, attempting to become smaller and potentially disappear.
"For fucks sake," Jungkook whined as he stood up, pulling a cloudy-blue switch knife from one of the many chambers in his trousers. It looked worn, discoloured with unknown substances, with a little nick taken out of the middle of the blade.
"Get up, walk. I seriously don't care if you get hurt, if you don't listen to me I'll just stab you where you're laying."
Minjun peeked upwards, seeing the seething look on the man's face.
He unsteadily got to his feet, tear-filled eyes carefully looking around at everyone and what threat they posed, but it was only Jungkook. The rest of the men seemed comfortable and enjoying the picture that played from their television.
Minjun felt a sharp poke in his lower back.
"Walk."
Jungkook was mindful not to stab him as he led the boy away from the lounge. The blade only just kissed his skin, through the t-shirt he had sweat through. Although, it was enough to send paralysing despair through Minjun's veins.
"Pl-please don't, h-uh, hurt me," Minjun cried, reaching up to cover his face as he sobbed unbearably loud.
"How the hell are we supposed to teach you not to fucking escape if we let you off when you do it, huh asshole?" Jungkook tapped the side of the knife, letting Minjun know with the pinch he felt that the knife was still a threat to him in case he tried something.
The shorter boy wouldn't have dared, not towards the people who collectively slaughtered his parents and indirectly killed his cat. He knew that he stood no chance at defeating any of the seven men, let alone all of them for a chance to escape.
"Sit."
Minjun sat on an oddly shaped chair in a room. The room looked bare at first, but as soon as the most junior gangster tied his forearms and his ankles to the chair, Minjun could have guessed what sort of things would appear in there.
Jungkook summoned a chain from behind the chair, tying it carelessly around Minjun's neck and a pole that seemingly went from floor to ceiling directly behind the chair. It bound him, holding his head still in a painstakingly flexed position.
"So, mind telling me exactly what you did?" Jungkook teased, strutting to the front of the boy and staring down at him, "so we can decide on your punishment together."
Jungkook gave the boy time to talk, heading over to a door that stood opposite the hostage. It almost blended into the dark-coloured walls, so when he opened it he wasn't surprised to hear the strangled gasp fall from his victim.
He wheeled his and Yoongi's carts out, drawing them close enough for the restrained boy to see all the different devices and weaponry on the shelves. Once the carts had all been pulled out of the cupboard, Minjun could see that the walls inside were lined with longer weapons.
Jungkook stomped back over to the boy, "well?"
"I- I tried to, uh, escape," Minjun wept, squeezing his eyes shut.
"And?"
Minjun's blood ran icy, frantically twitching his feet around in an attempt to free himself.
"What's in your pocket, Minjun?"
Jungkook skated his fingers up the boy's thigh, hearing humorous sobs and coughs coming from his lips as he reached the pocket's entrance.
He put his hand into Minjun's pocket, watching the teenager's bothered and disheartened face. Then, he pulled his hand back out with the complete sum of cash that he'd taken from their leader's drawers.
"You gonna tell me how this got here?"
Minjun shivered, his jaw prattling as if he were cold in the sweat-inducing room. He cried out, blood already trickling from his lips as he restlessly bit down on them. Jungkook neatened up the pile of notes, placing them by the exit door before returning with a playful look.
