Katie's P.O.V - 12:06 PM
"So, who do you live with?" I asked, chillin' back on the couch.
"Uh, my parents and siblings. I'm saving up to move out, though." Vinnie looked back at me.
"Right. We need money..." I was thinking about me and the boys.
Stevie laughed, glancing back at me, before turning back to the soundboard."Is it true you guys all live together?" Vinnie asked me.
"Well, the guys all live at my place, with me, so yeah, but it's not really our place." I couldn't really explain it. I didn't know the guy.
He just nodded. "Is it true that Dylan always gets his own hotel room?"
"Yeah... Gov, we need to talk about that." I looked at the boss.
"You're headliners now. You can all get your own rooms, if you can afford it. You will have to share some nights, but like that's a big deal..." Gov teased.
"Prick." I glared at him."How many siblin's y' goh?" Stevie asked Vinnie, looking at his new friend.
"Five. Four older, one younger." Vinnie smiled.
"Whoa..." Stevie and I looked at him.
"You can have 'em, if you want!" Vince joked, as Dylan walked out the recording booth.
"Nah, thanks! I'm happy wi'h Eddie!" Stevie smiled.Dylan walked in, Eddie laughing in the booth, following after him.
"All good, man?" I asked him, as he stood at the door.
"Fine." He grumbled. He was good.
He sat down next to me, and Eddie walked in. "Hey, Vinnie."
"Hey. Sorry I was late." The newbie responded.
"You're here now." Eddie shrugged it off, sitting with Dylan and I."Well, you know everyone." Gov started. "I told you about any songs you write, they're by the band, not yourself directly."
Vince nodded along.
"Today's more about exploring what you can do, and the new sound we're going for." Gov has been the sixth member of this band ever since we were left in the studio with him, in LA. The chemistry is just too beautiful."Sounds great! What new sound?" Vinnie smiled at us.
"More drums and bass, less guitar, but keeping the classic stuff." I told him, my palms together, as if I was preying, up by my face. I'm thinking...
"We shou'd do a bass 'ntro!" Stevie thought out loud, looking at us three on the couch.
I looked at Eddie.
Eddie looked at me.
"Sick!" We smiled at each other.
"OH!" Dylan remembered something. "When coming to an agreement on something band related. We all have to agree on it, or it doesn't happen." He told Vinnie.
"Oh, OK. Fair enough." Vinnie nodded at him.
"It helps us a lot." Eddie added.. . .
"Look, I'll settle for Kate Bush, if I have to!" I told Alec down the phone.
The phone was at the soundboard, so I was now sitting on the right side, by the door.
"Kate Bush only tours when she's skint! Come on, Monroe. Anyone else..." He told me.
"Fine..." I put my feet up on the desk, the gov walking into the room with some coffee for myself, him, and Vinnie. "Maybe... I don't know... Who was the female singer in Roxette?" I asked.
"Oh! Marie Fredriksson!" Alec beamed.
"Yeah! Her. Me, her, Sandy West on drums, with Suzi Quatro on bass, and... Who did I say again?" I couldn't think.
"What's she talking about?" The gov asked Vinnie, handing out the coffees.
"I think her dream line up..." Vinnie told him, sat on the couch, waiting for something to do.
"You said Susanna Hoffs!" Alec replied.
"Yes, her-" The gov reached over me and pressed the hang up button."That was a really important phone call!" I put the phone down, taking my feet off the desk.
"I'm sure it was." Gov smirked at me, taking his seat at the board. "OK, boys! Anything at all?" He spoke to the guys, who were all in the recording room.
"Just this..." Eddie said before going into a funky bass line. It had a bounce to it. I enjoyed it, but it was over as soon as it started.
"OK, nice... Anything for it?" Gov asked.
"No." Dylan and Eddie shook their heads.
"Let me in." I got up, going from one room to the other.I walked in and grabbed Kirk's guitar. The pink one. You remember that beauty?
I stood over to Eddie's left, and plugged my guitar in.
"What we going for? Light notes?" I asked, adjusting the strap.
"Yeah..." Dylan nodded.
I nodded back and ran my left hand down the neck."Monroe, does it always have to be sexual with you and Dylan?" Gov laughed.
"Sex is one of the greatest pleasures on this planet." Dylan smiled.
"Can't forget that threesome in Iowa!" I smiled at Dylan, who winked at me.
"Ah, man! Dude, staph!" Stevie laughed at us, sat at the drums behind us three.
"Come on... Play me something... How are you guys feeling right now?" Gov asked us, changing the topic."I don't know... Vinnie, how are you feeling?" Dylan asked.
The gov nodded Vinnie over to the mic, showing him how it worked.
Gov nodded to him, as he asked him something, and Vince gave it a go.
"Uh... I'm good." He told us.
"Elaborate." Eddie smiled at him. "Talk to us, man..."
"What is it you want? I don't know..." Vince shrugged, with a shy smile.
"Are you dirty minded?" I asked him.
He blushed hard, snickering. "I don' know!"
"Sure you do!" Eddie smiled. "Come on, Vinnie. Talk to us. You talk dirty?"
"Everyone talks dirty." Dylan smirked, standing on Eddie's right."Come on, man... What is it? Hair pulling? Scratching each others skin? Love bites?" I named a few. "See me and the hot guy downstairs. It's serious lovin', for us, but I really like it when he takes control. He's kept my arms pinned down on occasion, and he's even left me with a limp." I didn't go into detail as I wasn't like Dylan. "How is it for you?"
Vinnie hid his hands in his black hoodie sleeves. He was wearing a Janie's Gun hoodie, that looked to be custom made.
"I guess..." He puffed up his hair, nervously. "Well... I've had her up against a wall before..."
"There ya go!" Eddie smiled.
"An'? Y' goh all tha way?" Stevie asked him.
"Yeah..." Vince's face was all red. "Little by little...""Are you vocal, during sex?" Dylan straight up asked him.
"Have some decorum!" Eddie looked to Dylan.
"Stevie!" I whispered loudly, Eddie and Dylan looking at me.
"Y'ah?!" He replied with the same tone, leaning over his drums.
"What does 'decorum' mean?!" I asked him.
"I' means keepin' wi'h gooh taste!" He explained.
I nodded, with an 'O', turning back to the boys. "Continue..."
