Katie's P.O.V
"Vinnie! Where for art thou?!" I asked, walking into the sound room.
Gov laughed, sat at the soundboard. "I love the Brits. Vince is in the office. He's on the phone." He told me.
"'Ight." I left the studio and ran down the corridor, heading to the office.I ran past the gents, just as Kirk was walking out, so he just followed after me. Classic.
"He's gonna think we've had a quickie." I smiled, slowing down as I approached the door.
"Good. Let him!" Kirk didn't care at all. "I'm getting that hair cut."
"Yes!" I jumped at him, forcing him to catch me, before I crashed to the ground.
I laughed, placing my feet back on the ground and knocking on the door.
"Stop doing that!" Kirk didn't actually mind. He was just scared of dropping me.
I snickered and let myself into the office, seeing Vince sat at the desk on the phone, looking up at the door."... Yeah, of course." He gave a nod our way, as we crashed back onto the sofas, taking one each. "Marie, I don't know when I'll be coming home, we're working on an album. . . Well, sure- Hold on a sec." Vinnie held the phone to his shoulder.
"Hey, when we tour, Marie will be able to come out and see me, right?" He asked us.
"Yeah, of course!" Kirk told him.
"She's the girlfriend, right?" I asked them both.
"Yeah." Vince nodded, chuckling at me.
"I keep getting confused with Maria." I looked at Kirk, who was smirking at me. "-but yeah! She can come see you for a week or two."Vince went back to his call. "You can come see me on tour! I just asked Monroe. . . Yeah! They're all great! Better then I first thought."
I looked at Kirk, as he looked at me.
"Where's the craziest place you've had sex?" Kirk asked me, randomly.
"I dunno... We have a rule of no sex on Jasmin, as she's our home away from home." I thought about it. You remember Jasmin, right? The name of our tour bus.
"I had that threesome, with Dylan... That was wild.""Better...?" Kirk asked.
"Nah... That wasn't out of love." I shook my head, turning to look at him, from looking up at the ceiling. "Who you gonna get to cut your hair?" I asked him.
"Probably Maria. Eddie says she cuts Miracle's hair." The hot guy told me.
I nodded, looking back up at the ceiling.
"OK, I'll talk to you soon. . . You too. Bye." Vince hung up the phone.
"You too... Did you just answer 'you too' , to I love you?" I sat up.
"Uh..." Vince held the phone, as if he didn't realise what he said and was debating calling her back. "Yeah... I'll... I'll uh... I'll make it up to her." He was about to get up, when he slouched back and sighed."Vince, are you OK?" Kirk sat up, his body facing towards me, but he was looking over in Vince's direction.
"Yeah... No... Yeah. yeah, I'm fine!" Vince shook it off.
"Hold up, Vincenzo!" I got up, walking over to the desk. "What just happened?"
"Marie was on the phone... I'm just a kid, from New Jersey, and you're apart of my favourite band... I'm not a rock star. I'm not rock star material." He frowned, sat in the office chair looking up at me.I placed my hands on the desk, leaning on it. "What are you talking about?"
"The largest crowd I've ever sung to was my parents, brothers and sisters, at my dad's birthday last year... I'm just a kid." Vince looked scared.
"So am I... and Eddie... You're older then us both... Vince... Our first show, opening for AC/DC. I panicked and hid in our dressing room. I was terrified. I get stage fright every single time, but my first show... I called Joe, telling him I couldn't do it, silently asking him to get me out of it. Wanna know what he said to me?" I asked.
Vince looked up at me, like a lost puppy, nodding faintly.
"He said 'I know you can do this. You love playing the guitar. I know, as soon as you walk onto that stage, your dad will be right there with you. It's rock and roll... It's all you know. It's all you talk about. It's what you are'." I said. "It's the exact same for you. You clearly love singing, and we chose you. We didn't have to, but you are everything we want, and everything we need. Joe told me 'All those people are there to see you. If they weren't, they'd show up when AC/DC are due on stage... They've heard about you, they own your record. You're their next favourite band...'. And along came you, Vince." I smiled at him.
"I'm not like you guys." He whispered.
"Neither am I, neither is Eddie, or Dylan, or Stevie. I'm a dork... Eddie's a Romeo, Dylan is a runaway, and Stevie is a hippie... The only thing we can all agree on is that's it's rock and roll, or bust. Vince, we're not rock stars. We just like making noise!" I laughed.
Vince snickered, now smiling."Hey..." Gov knocked on the door. "Sorry to interrupt, but I just got a call from Peter. You guys are doing a month long tour, headlining, starting this coming Friday. Gotta stay relevant." He told us.
"Rock and roll!" I smiled, looking back at him. "With all the toppings?"
"All the toppings. Vince, we need you to do that thing you do. You're the leading man, we need you out there." Gov smiled at us.
I smiled at Vince, who looked up at me.
I nodded at him. 'I know you can do this'
He nodded back at me. "OK. Let's do it!" He smiled.
"Rock and Roll!" I shouted out, holding my fist to the sky, eyes closed, head tipped back.. . .
Gov told the boys, once they were all up and awake, with coffee and cigarette smoke in their systems. We were all super excited.
We took the day to get some song writing done, Eddie admitting he's in the process of writing a song for Maria, before we all headed back home, talking about the tour. We're getting a bigger bus, taking us back around America, we talked about our set list, adding Fallen Angel into it, as I may or may not of caused a scene...
Look, Roger Meadows Taylor sat in a closet, until the guys in Queen all agreed to make 'I'm In Love With My Car' the B side... All I did was... Sit in the back on the mini van, until they agreed to add the song to the set list... It's my favourite song! OK?!
