Katie's P.O.V

"... and Peter turned to me. Any questions?" This pillock smiled at us.
We were sat in the suite, this guy introduced himself as Gordan Lee. I hated every single little thing about him.
"Guys?" He chuckled, looking at us all.
I sat in the middle of the couch, Dylan on my right, with Stevie on my left. Eddie sat behind Dylan, up on the back rest, with Vince sat on the floor by Stevie's feet.
Gov was standing to our left, as this dickhead stood in front of us.

"Look-"
"NO!" Dylan held his hand up. "You look."
Gordan looked at us alarmed.
"I don't fucking care who you've managed in the past. I really don't give a shit." Dylan was furious. I'm not kidding. "If you have to stay on this tour, then fine, but I'm not giving you a second of my day. Gov's our manager. It's with him we signed our contracts, it's with him we got this far. I don't care what you have to say." Dylan stood up. "I don't care what Finlay has to say. If you want us to be under your management, you have a lot to fucking prove of yourself. We're not just gonna be passed over like this! We're on a very tight schedule, we really don't have time for this conversation. You want to manage us... You follow what we say."
"You're not my manager." Eddie spoke up, before getting up and leaving the room.
"Nor mine." Stevie followed after him, minding Vince as he went.

"The band have spoken." Gov spoke up.
"Now hold on a minute!" Gordan raised his voice.
"Joe's my fucking hero, but when he's not around. I turn to the Gov. No one else." I walked out the room.

I went to my room, pounding on the door for Kirk to let me in.
As soon as the door opened, I pushed past him, grabbed my bed pillow and threw it at the door, Kirk catching it.
"I FUCKING HATE HIM!" I screamed.
"Baby!" Kirk came over to me, hugging me tight. "Come on. It might not be too bad! We just-"
"You wanna know what he said!?" I shoved Kirk off me, instantly regretting it, but too frustrated and irritated to make up for it.

I chucked my hat off my head, grabbed my hair bobble, and tied my hair back.
It was in my face and pissing me off so bad.

"What did he say?" Kirk sat on the bed, knowing how to deal with me when I'm pissed.
"He said were all going on new contracts. Cutting down on the stage show, making us just play, like every other fucking band in the world! He wants Vince at the front! It's my fucking band! This is my baby! Everything I've worked for. Every second, of every minute, of every fucking day!" I pulled at my hair.
"Hey, it's OK... This is your band. It's all of you, or none of you. There's no other way." Kirk reminded me.
I looked at him and nodded, taking a deep breath. "Yeah."
"I'm here." He stood up, hugging me.
"Don't go away." I hugged his waist.
"Never." He promised.

. . .

"If you guys want to get anywhere, have Monroe give more sex on stage!" Gordan spoke to Eddie, as we were about to go on.
"She's twenty years old! I'd never ask her to sell herself, for us to have a hit!" Eddie argued, before walking away from him.
I glared at Gordan, until I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"You alright, Monroe?" Alec asked me.
"No. I hate him." I turned to Alec, finding him holding my guitar.
Gov was down the corridor behind him, so I excused myself and walked right up to the man.

"He wants me to be more sexy on stage! Gov, you can't leave us! You said only if the album leaves a mark." I frowned.
"And it has. Monroe, you're album is number one." Gov showed me the charts.
I took the magazine from him and looked to the No. 1 slot. 'Janie's Gun - Open Up and Say Ahhh'.
"Gov, I understand that you only deal with small bands, but if we can upgrade from small band, than why can't you? You know us better than anyone here, and you know what requirements we need. I know you can do it, because you're the sixth member of this band. Please, don't go. I can't deal with change and you always keep me grounded. You always know what to say, when I start to freak out, or what to say to Stevie when he feels low, and you know what to say to keep Dylan from getting pissed off, and when Eddie misses home. I can't go under new management, 'cause that's starting all over again and who's to say what will happen? What if he drops us? I can't deal with all that. You mean a lot to me, 'cause when we first met, we just clicked. You weren't supposed to take us on, but you did. So, don't leave us now..." I couldn't look at him the whole time I was talking.

Neither of us spoken.
A roadie gave us the green light, forcing me to leave.

My guitar was handed to me, I lifted the strap over my head and turned around, walking away. I walked to my band, not lifting my eyes from the ground.
Someone placed a hand on my upper back, before leaving.
I sniffed. Wiping a stray tear from my left eye.

The show must go on...

"Go!"
"Janie's Gun! Janie's Gun! Janie's Gun!"

We ran up the steps, same as before. The lights were blue, then red, then blue, then red.
We looked out to the crowd. There's more people than last time...
We all raised our fist into the air.

"ROCK AND ROLL!" I shouted out, before we took to our stage.

I don't know what will happen, once we come off stage, I can't even remember what I said to the Gov, but I don't want him to leave. He's apart of this family. Apart of Ohana.
He's the ringleader of this circus, he's the conductor of this opera shit, he's the director of this story. I don't want him to go.
