"𝐼 𝑠𝑒𝑒 𝑚𝑦 𝑀𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑙𝑘𝑖𝑛' 𝑎𝑤𝑎𝑦."

The day I met her, I didn't exactly meet her meet her. I didn't even get her name and our encounter didn't even last up to ten minutes. In fact, it wasn't even close to that number, I'm sure it wasn't for very long. For me it felt like it was longer though, as if we had this whole conversation or introduction for a while. It was probably just me though. I'm pretty sure she thought it was just another person she bumped into.

As soon as she started talking I was practically already wondering why she was there, talking to me, like she was supposed to be there, it was just weird. With Emily I saw her and I was instantly taken a back. With Beth it was sort of the same as well as if a light was beginning to shine down on her so I could see her clearly and along the way it kept getting brighter but began to get put out before I could actually see anything as soon as I found out Gregg was her boyfriend. It was like dark clouds covering the bright sun.

Sooner or later though, the sky had cleared and she would be all that I could see. After a while I understood that I had to be with Emily before I could be with Beth, it's just how it was always supposed to go. I was mad at that for a while, like how I was mad at Emily but sooner or later I thanked her.

Still, with meeting her there was this small feeling I couldn't quite shake, like curiosity but it also felt like a pit in my stomach, or rather, my heart. Like the feeling of unsatisfactory, not with her, but just the first encounter, I knew could feel she was there for a reason, but then she just walked away like nothing, water slipping through your fingers.

That day was like any other normal day for me, and for her as well. It was a couple weeks before college and she was as busy as she could be. During her last year as a senior, she had tried everything in her power to help out her parents, that included tending to her three year old sister when her mother and father couldn't. They were doing alright for now, at least they were somewhat back up on their feet.

In the meantime of all this, Beth was getting ready to go to college, her brother was already doing that, so they figured since they were going to the same school, they could live together. It wouldn't be anything fancy, not even remotely close to that, just something very small they they could easily move out of if they needed to.

Beth thought it was an okay idea, at least her parents didn't have to get a big place for the five of them, instead it would be the three of them now so it would be cheaper. So they followed through with the plan and did just that, The parents and Jazzy getting a two bedroom apartment, and Beth getting a one bedroom she would share with her Rio.
