Very similar to me, Emily didn't like Gregg, not at all, especially not his stupid fucking name. Although we disliked him for different reasons, I disliked him because I wanted to be with Beth, and she didn't like him because she was her best friend. It didn't take a genius to know that Gregg was an asshole, even Beth was sometimes aware of that. But Emily and I both knew she could do better, I still think she can do way, better than whatever this is.

So Emily and Gregg's relationship wasn't the best, always bickering or annoying each other, but Emily did try, but there was only so much she could do. She just tried for Beth, but it didn't seem that Gregg was trying at all, it would be better if he could meet her halfway. He didn't, what a surprise. I tried to meet Gregg halfway as well, so did Beth in the future but he gave little to no effort. When he decided to, it was already way to late for him and Beth.

Before Emily had met Gregg, her standards were already high from the start, it depends on the person if that was a good or bad thing. Just from the way Beth talked about him already painted him as the best boyfriend in the whole world, during that time, she really thought he was, she just decided to make herself blind to all the bad things he did. She just wanted someone, making her think that she needed someone, very opposite to how her Emily was.

"So do you wanna go out tonight, I heard that Maggie's throwing some party near her place." Emily informed as the two sat comfortably on Beth's bed, sitting with their legs folded across from one another. Thinking to herself for a bit, she shrugged her shoulders, but a small frown spread across her face. "I don't think I can, I'm going with Gregg tonight, and he'll get all butt hurt and grumpy if I cancel on it right now." Beth told her, she really wanted to go.

If it weren't for him, she would be all in. "Who is this 'Gregg' anyways? I've never spoke with him, or even seen him. Unless he's imaginary, because if so, I don't think we can be friends anymore." Emily joked with a small laugh, her perfect white teeth beginning to show. Rolling her eyes at the dumb remark, Beth just scoffed. There was no way in hell she would do that, having a wild imagination was one thing for her, but pretending to have boyfriend was just sad.

"He's not imaginary, he doesn't go to the same school as us." She explained with a calm tone, really wanting to go into detail. "Oh is it long distance? That blows..." Emily said, mentally sending her condolences to their relationship. In her eyes, long distance worked with no one, and it would always be set to end in heartbreak, or just giving up on each other. I think it just depends on the person, long distance completely failed with Emily and I, but it wasn't because of the distance between us.
