The music continues to play as Wylie makes his way through the beaded curtains and out of sight.
I notice a flustered Biana following him.
Dex grabs the microphone off the tabletop beside him, "I ask that everyone please move to the center of the room so that tables can be set up around the sides of the room."
Keefe takes my hand, and we move along with the small crowd.
Wylie and three men start placing tables along the back wall. Biana places silver tablecloths on top.
A man wearing a red apron and cap enters and places pies of pizza and other bags, which I assume contain fries and drinks, on one of the tables. Biana hands him money and he leaves.
Then Biana disappears into the back again with Wylie and they come out carrying glass bowls filled with candy. She places two bowls at the center of each of the two tables.
Biana then plops down on one of the chairs.
I head over to her and motion to the empty seat beside her, "mind if I sit here?"
"Not at all" she replies.
Pretty soon we all find ourselves around the tables.
Wylie ties a happy birthday balloons behind Tam and Linh's chairs.
The other two workers plate the pizza and fries and pour drinks as people request them.
After we all finish an enjoyable meal, Wylie and the two others bring out a massive cake that says Happy Birthday Tam and Linh in edible letters. It is obvious a lot of work was put into it. One side of the cake was painted blue with detailed waves and edible pearls and the other side was painted black and grey and looks like smoke. All around the cake is piped silver dusted frosting.
From Biana's smile I think it came out just as she envisioned it.

I sit on my comfortable chair as I survey the shop. We've been in high demand lately as people recommend us to their friends and family members.
On yelp we are rated a whopping 4.9 stars. People love the atmosphere, the service, and the quality and freshness of our products. One person wrote they had to wait 3 minutes for their coffee when they shouldn't have had to wait at all. Another person wrote we don't play enough classical music and she feels we don't value her thereby- her words not mine. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied and proud of how far we've come.
I look up from my screen and see Tam sitting in the corner. He opens a note that sits on the table before him, reads it quickly then snickers.
I reluctantly get up from the chair and stand beside him. "what's so funny?" I ask him curiously.
He hands me the note. It reads:
Tam-
As I'm sure you've noticed, I'm with Brandon now. At first I did it to pressure you into making a move. But I really like him now. I moved on so you should to.
Mrandon forever.
Your friend and valued customer,
Melissa.
"That's got to be the greatest note I've seen," I shake my head and hand it back to Tam.
He tosses the piece of paper over his shoulder and somehow it manages to fall into the trash bin.
The door swings open and in walks Brandon and a girl. His arm is slung around her shoulders and its clear it must be Mrandon.
I look up and my eyes search for Sophie's.
My other half.
