JJ had just left,he said he had to get a few things done.I decided to take a walk.on my walk I see the boy from the party.

He sees me and I turn away trying to head home. "Hey!" I hear from behind me and stop in my tracks.I slowly turn around to see him jogging over to me. "You and me gotta talk,I'm not gonna let your little boyfriend do that to me without a consequence" he says. "What do you want?" I grit.

"I want you to be my girlfriend" he says and I huff. "As if" I say rolling my eyes turning around.I feel a hand latch around my neck and he pulls me to face him.

"If I see you with JJ ever again,there will be more consequences" he says gripping my neck hard. I wince under his gaze,clawing at his hands to try and get them off."got it?" He questions tightening his hand.I quickly nod with teary eyes and he lets me go.I slowly back up in fear. "Bye sweetheart" he waves and walks off to his friends.

I look over at then and see two of them laughing and one of them clenching his jaw,but when he sees me looking at him his gaze softens,I recognize him as Rafe Cameron.I shake the thought and turn around getting home fast.

I run through the house and up into my room and look in the mirror.a hand mark outline is seen on my neck.I look over to my phone on my bed and call Kie,what else would I do?

She answers "hello?" I hear. "Kie,c-come over please" I say sniffling. "I'm with the boys,can they come too?" She asks. "No,no,just you" I say. "On my way" she says and hangs up.

She arrives not to long after and gets in my room. "Holy shit,what happened?" She asks grazing a hand over my neck. "The guy at the party,h-he said that if he ever saw me hanging with JJ there would be consequences" I say and she pulls me into a hug.

"How could someone do this to a person" she asks. "What am I gonna do,I can't just stop hanging out with JJ" I say. "Your gonna have to" she says and my heart sinks. "He's gonna keep hurting you,but I'm sure JJ will understand-"

"No,I can't tell him" I say and she nods understanding that if we told JJ he would try and get in a fight with him.

"You should go,they might get a little suspicious" I say referring to the guys. "Are you sure?" She asks and I nod.we walk downstairs and I walk her out.I tell her thanks and she walks off.

I go back to my room and pick through makeup and try to cover up my mark on my neck.I cover it pretty good.I lay in my bed on my phone.

I hear a knock on the window and I hope it's not JJ,but at the same time I wanted it to be,I just needed one of his hugs.I open it and he hops in with a smile. "You will never guess what happened" he says excitedly.he hops onto my bed and starts explaining one of his crazy story's.once he's done he sees that I haven't moved.

"Hey you alright?" He asks standing up from his spot. "Huh?..oh yeah I'm all good" I say just now realizing that I was spacing out.

"Hey whatever it is you can tell me." He says.he can always see right through me. "It's nothing I promise,I'm just tired" I say.he walks up to me looking at something confused. "What's that" he says looking at my neck. "What's what?" I ask trying to sound oblivious.

He looks back at my face from my neck then back down to my neck.he runs a finger over my neck and I wince a little.he then goes to my bathroom and grabs a makeup wipe. "JJ,you don't need to do that" I say backing up but he wipes the makeup off my neck and sees the mark.

He runs his fingers through his hair frustrated. "JJ..." I say trying to reach for the wipe but he snatches his hand back. "Who did this to you?" He asks sternly. "JJ,stop,it's nothing" I say trying to reach for the makeup wipe again and this time grabbing it.

I go to the bathroom and throw it away. "Was it your dad?cause I'll go down there right now-"

"JJ!...it's fine,it doesn't even hurt" I fight back slightly pressing on the bruised skin of my neck. "I didn't want you to see cause I knew this would be your reaction,so I covered it up with makeup" I say.he faces me in disbelief. "My reaction is like this cause I care for you,I don't want you getting hurt,and I wanna know who did it." He says getting louder.

"He said if he ever saw me with you...there would be consequences" I say looking at the ground and not him. "Who Lacey?" He asks still in a stern voice.

"I don't know his name,but I don't want this to become a bigger deal than it already is,that's why I was gonna hide it from you" I say and he rolls his eyes. "The guy at the party?" He asks and I stay silent. "I'm gonna kill him" he says walking towards my window.I pull on his shirt. "JJ,stop,this won't help anything it will only make things worse." He doesn't stop. "JJ!" I shout and he finally stops.

"Look I know you care for me,and I know you don't wanna see me hurt,but I'm fine,really,I am it's doesn't hurt,and he will get over it,once he sees that I'm not hanging with you he will stop" I explain.I hear JJ huff. "When he sees your not hanging out with me?so this is it?your just gonna stop hanging out with us?" He asks turning to face me.

"I don't have a choice" I mumble. "I gotta go" he says

"JJ...JJ please..I'm sorry." It's to late he's already left.

"Fuck!" I shout kicking my dresser and sitting on the side of my bed running fingers through my hair.I pound my fist into my bed.I get up and slam my window shut.I get to my bathroom and look at myself.I hate it,red,tear stained,I hate all of it.

How could I let this happen?how could I be so dumb?I just lost the thing that makes me happy.
