Trap

A week later and I haven't left my room.kie is constantly asking to hang out,I ignored her.I'm back to my old life,getting yelled at for no reason.

I step downstairs with no expression,that's how it's been for a while now. "Sweetie,I thought you left with your friends?" My mom says and I just shake my head no.I grab a bag of chips and head back to my room. "O-oh ok" I hear from behind me but I don't pay attention to it.

I get up there and plop on my bed face down into my pillow.I hear my window open and feet come in. "Get out" I mumble through my pillow not bothering to look up.

"Lacey?" I hear kie say. "What" I say still face down in my pillow. "Let's do something"

"Please?" I hear another voice that I know as john b.I finally look up and see Kie,John b,and Pope,no JJ.

"Why" I say sitting up and putting my hair behind my ear. "Cause we miss you" they say. "Kie.." I say trying to remind her that I can't be seen with JJ.

"He's not here" she says,after a while of thinking over it I decide. "Okay" I mumble and they all put on smiles.

"Let me get changed" I say and they nod and go out the window.I change into a bathing suit and throe an oversized shirt over it.

I hop out the window bringing my phone and then follow the guys onto the dock.I look and see that Pope is gone. "Hey where did Pope go?" I ask "he had to go help his dad" Kie answers with a smile,I nod and we get on the boat and John b starts driving.

We arrive and I see a big boat that I recognize as Heywards,popes dad.

"Umm what are we doing" I ask but they don't answer and instead drive up to it then hopping in.I follow them "can you come look at this?" Kie asks I walk over and see that John b is gone I get confused but don't do anything.

I bend down to see what she's looking at. "Kie what are you talking about?" I ask looking up but then seeing she's gone to.I get up and run onto the nose of the boat.

"Reconcile your differences!" I hear John b yell from the boat that now Kie,Pope,and John b are leaving me on.

"What the hell!" I hear from behind me and see JJ.we look at each other. "No.." I groan turning back to my friends. "I'm gonna kill you!" I shout back at them starting to take my shirt off.

"They aren't gonna come back for you" I hear JJ say from beside me.I ignore his thought and dive into the water.They then speed up the boat and get away faster.

I throw my head back groaning then looking back at the boat and slowly swimming back.I feel a sting on the side of my hip and I gasp. "Shit!" I shout climbing onto the ladder on the side of the boat.

"What?" I hear JJ say.I climb onto the boat holding my bruised side. "JJ,you know what they say?to help a jellyfish sting?" I ask "no." He answers bluntly. "You have to pee on it" I point to my side and his eyes go wide. "I'm not peeing on you" he says rolling his eyes walking off.

He then walks back out holding something. "Here this will help" he says holding it up and I recognize it as a blunt.

I walk over and put my shirt on then look at it in his hands thinking about it for a second. "Come on" he says pushing his hand closer to me.I hesitantly take it putting it between my lips while he lights it.we go over so sit down on top of the boat and look out at the stars.

I take a long hit. "Hey slow down" he says but I don't listen.I quickly pull it away from my face and start coughing. He chuckles and pats my back.I'm finally done and he takes it from me taking a drag himself.

We pass it back and forth until I can start to feel it working.

"I wanna go swim" I say standing up but he grabs my waist and pulls me down. "You don't wanna get stung again" he says and I nod and just lay back next to him not realizing his arms still wrapped around my waist.

"I'm sorry" JJ says and I sit up and look at him. "I shouldn't have been so...over dramatic?" He says and I can tell he's not used to apologizing. "It's fine..I shouldn't have been so....I don't know" I answer not knowing what to say. "It's fine" I repeat again after a while and he chuckles.

I reach out to grab the almost gone blunt but he takes it away. "I think you had enough" he states and I roll my eyes,and try reaching out again leaning over him only for him to pull it farther away.he burns it out on the side of the boat and flicks it somewhere I look up at him and huff not realizing my body is completely draped over his lap.he just chuckles.

I lay beside him,and he puts an arm around my neck using his arm as my pillow.

I start laughing out of no where making JJ laugh.I laugh so hard that tears fall from my eyes.I get an idea and sit back up. "Come on" I say to JJ he sits up and I hop down from the top of the boat almost falling to the ground but catch myself.

JJ follows after me and I grab my phone and turn my music on.I turn to him and smirk. "Not this again" he sarcastically says.I giggle and reach for his hands and pull him towards me by his fingers.

He smiles and pulls me in and I wrap my arms around his neck and he places his arms around my waist.I smile at him but he just looks me in the eyes.

We start to lean in until our foreheads are touching.He puts a smirk on his lips.he then pulls away and spins me around.I giggle and he chuckles.

I then unexpectedly pull him into a hug.he hesitantly hugs me back pulling me closer. "Thank you" was the only words I could get out.

"For what?"

"Everything"
