Sirens

I wake up to the sun shining on my back.I wipe my eyes as they flutter open.I look to my side and see JJ is gone.I get up and stretch my arms yawning.I run my fingers through my hair walking over to where JJ stood on the front of the boat looking over the edge.

He turns around and sees me and smiles. "Morning sleeping beauty" he says and I chuckle. "Morning" I mumble.I walk over and sit on the edge facing him while he looks out into the water.

I look at him taking in all of his features,how his eyes glisten in the sun,how his hair blows in the wind,how he grips onto the side of the boat,how he clenches his jaw.wow,I got it bad.

"What?" He asks me catching me staring. "Nothing" I say with a smile.he gives me a smirk. "No,tell me" he says taking a step closer to me.

I look down at the ground and let out a breathy laugh.he puts his hand on my chin making me stand up and look at him.I melt under his touch.our noses are centimeters from touching. "You're really pretty" I whisper to him.he looks away with a smile hiding his blush.I smile at him and he looks back at me clenching his jaw trying to hold his smile down but fails.

He then leans in and gives me a kiss on the cheek.my face lightly blushes with a smile.after a while of looking at each other he pulls me into a hug.

He wraps his arms around my neck resting his chin on top of my head while I rest my arms around his torso burying my face in his chest.I take in the familiar scent and find myself wanting to stay like this forever.

I had only just met JJ a few weeks ago,and I feel like I've known him my whole life.the feeling I get when I'm around him makes me warm inside.with him I feel at home,at peace,I'm in love with the feeling I get.does that mean I love him?i've never felt like this before.

"Uh oh!" I hear making me turn around and I see the guys and kie driving back on the boat. "Did you forget the key or something?!" John b yells and I chuckle.

"He's so dumb" I mumble to JJ in which he laughs in return.

They pull up on the side of the boat tying it off. "So did you guys reconcile your differences?" Pope asks.I look at JJ to see that he was already looking at me.I shrug "yeah I guess so" I say with a small grin.he gives me a wink and I go and sit by Kie. "You are gonna tell me what happened" she whispers to me. "Later" I say and she smiles and nods.I laugh at her eagerness.

They drop me off at my house cause I told them I had to see my parents.I wave at them as they drive off.I turn around and start walking up to my house.i look in my driveway and see my mom and dad are gone. "So much for coming to see them" I say rolling my eyes.I hear a car come up behind me I turn around and I don't recognize it.

The door opens and out walks the boy from the party I gasp. "What are you doing here,leave" I say taking steps back. "You don't listen very well,princess" he says with a smirk I look at his waist back and see the handle to a gun.

I look back at his face and he notices that I saw and starts to un towards me.I quickly turn around and run into my house closing the door and locking it running up to my room and hiding in my closet.

As soon as I catch my breath I shakily grab my phone and dial 911.

"911,what's your emergency?" I hear a lady on the other side of the line. "Umm,there I-is a guy at my house..h-he has a gun" I shakily say.I hear typing on the other side of the line. "Ok ma'am just stay where you are,is it just one person?" She asks calmly "y-yes,only one person" I answer.

"I have someone on the way,just stay where you are" she says. "Ok" I answer. "Do you want me to stay on the line?" She asks. "No,no it's fine" I say and hang up.

I hear banging on my door and I jump covering my mouth trying not to make a sound.

"I know your in there!" I hear when I hear a crash.he broke the door down.tears fall down my eyes in fear when I hear footsteps slowly travel up the stairs.

I start to hear sirens and I get hope. "You little shit!" I hear him yell also hearing the sirens.I hear a car come up my driveway,again but the sirens weren't loud enough for it to be the police.my heart sinks,mom.

I hear a gunshot and I freeze.I finally here several cars come and the sirens are loud.my door breaks open and I see a cop. "You alright,we have taken the the boy into custody,he will be going to jail,for breaking and entering,and murder." He says and I stand to my feet. Murder?

I run down the stairs,I see an ambulance. "What?no,no" I mumble to myself running over to the stretcher.I see my mom on it with a lifeless body.blood pooled onto her stomach. "No!" I yell.

"Mom!" I shout again tears falling down my face.I reach for her but I'm pulled off. "No!stop!" I yell at the person pulling me off.the man holds me back. "Ma'am,I need you to calm down" I hear him say as I try and push through him.

I see a doctor put his hand to her neck reaching for a pulse he looks at me with a sad face and covers her with a sheet. "No!you let her die!" I yell at him.

"Lacey!" I hear and I feel arms wrap around me.I feel the familiarity of him and quickly wrap my arms around him sobbing into his neck.i hiccup through tears trying to catch my breath making fists on JJs back lightly hitting his shoulder.

I feel more arms wrap around me and I look up to see the rest of the group.I turn to Kie and hold onto her while the other give each other sad glances not knowing what to do to help comfort me.

JJ lays me down on my bed and covers me with my blankets.when John b walks in.he gives JJ a glance and JJ walks out. "Hey.." he says and I look up at him. "Hey" I let out with a scratchy throat.

"I know what your going through,I just thought you would wanna talk to someone that you can...um..relate to" he says sitting on the side of my bed.I sit up. "What do you mean?" I ask.

He takes a deep breath before continuing. "My dad..he died almost a year ago,he was the person I looked up to the most." He says looking down at his hands and his face gets red.

I lean over and give him a hug. "Thank you...for sharing,it means a lot,to have someone to relate to" I say and he hugs back after a while I pull out. "You should get some sleep though" he says and I nod laying back down.

Everyone comes in.Kie walks over and gives me a hug and says her goodbyes.they mumble a bye and walk out of the room. "JJ,stay" I say and he turns to me and gives me a small smile before sitting down next to me.

"Thanks for everything.....again" I say and he smiles and nods. "I should be thanking you" he says and I raise an eyebrow. "Why,I bought you into this mess" I say referring to my family crap.

"You made me feel alive,when I didn't want to be" he says and I frown.I give him a kiss on his temple o his head and he smiles.he holds his arms open and I gladly hold him in my arms.

We lay down as he plays with the ends of my hair.I fall asleep to an empty mind.only JJ could make the worst day ever,better.
