The Twins

"Well I am test subject 2210Suno and that is test subject 2210Sato. We were given the same numbers but different names since we were twins. We have been test subjects for around 3 years and we are now 10 years old. Our parents were very wealthy parents but they only ever wanted more. Therefore they sold us. Their own sons!" Suno says.

I was surprised that their were other survivors. I thought JK and I were the only ones? Does that mean their are more of us.

"Well basically we were sold to the lab and that's where we met Appa" Sato says.

I widened my eyes. They called him Appa too?

"We were tested on with 8 other kids our age. One day we were injected with something we didn't know. Our vision became fuzzy and we all passed out. The last thing I heard was the lab alarm go off." Sato continues.

I looked at JK and he seemed to be thinking the same thing. That was probably the day when JK and I escaped the lab.

"Well after we woke up we were in cages. The scientist were trying to inject us with more substances we didn't know. Luckily we weren't the first ones because the first child they took didn't do very well. It was a girl our age and she just started screaming so loud until the building started to collapse." Sato says.

Wow that sounded so similar to the power I had I thought.

"Basically the whole building came crumbling down. The scientists were to worried about gathering all their research that they forgot to bring the cages that we were in. Luckily for Sato and I, a part of the ceiling came off breaking our cage. The both of us ran out of the lab and into the forest. We sat in the forest as we watched the entire building collapse into nothing but rubble. When we thought the coast was clear we went back to see if anyone else survived." Suno explains.

"The scientists and Appa were able to escape. They didn't know we were still alive. When we went back to see if anyone was alive we saw the dead bodies of the other 8 test subjects. We didn't know what to do but one day when we were walking we came across that building with the iron fence. We were so hungry so we thought we could find some food and luckily we did which is why you found us in the trash bins." Sato says.

"There were guards that looked like foxes that come around once in a while but we were never caught." Suno continues.

"So do you guys have any special powers?" I ask genuinely curious. If they were test subjects and managed to survive for so long they must have developed some sort of mutation.

It was silent.

"Well we have wings like you do!" Suno says.

"Although we can't really fly with them right now." Sato adds.

"Oh why is that?" I ask.

Suno and Sato unfold their wings which were slightly smaller than JKs and mine. They looked just like our wings. The only difference was that Yuto's right wing and Suno's left wing was bent weirdly. Was it broken?

"When the ceiling came down we used our wings to protect ourselves from the impact. As you can see one of our wings are broken." Suno says.

"We were surprised when you both suddenly picked us up and started flying. We never actually got to try out the wings in flight so it felt like we were getting the experience even though we aren't actually the ones using the wings." Sato says.

"We also have this twin telepathy thing where we can talk to each other in our minds." Suno says. "So if you ever see us glaring at each other we are probably talking to each other in our minds."
