V POV

"Well the kids came from that direction." JK says and flies off.

Why didn't I think of that?

We flew until suddenly JK signalled for me to land. I follow him and land on the ground.

"Why did we land?" I ask confused.

"We're near." JK responds.

"Near what?..... ohhh" I say realizing we are close to the city. I guess we can't just go to the city flying around. We are probably like mythical creature to them.

The both of us begin hiking. I gotta say, when we first started the hike, it was the greatest feeling ever! But now that we've been hiking for about an hour now I'm starting to wish we were flying again. However, JK seemed to be doing fine, not even breaking a sweat.

Then an idea popped into my mind.

"Hey JK since you have like super strength can you carry me??? Pretty pretty prettttttyyyyyyyyy pleaseeeeee" I beg him not wanting to walk any longer.

JK halts in his steps and turns to look at me on the ground being dramatic. He sighs but nonetheless bends down with his back facing me.

I smile and quickly climb onto his back so we are in a piggy back position. JK stands up and continues to walk.

Eventually after fighting through the trees and bushes, we came across a long concrete road. We couldn't see an end to the road from where we stood so it was matter of luck. Should we walk towards the left or the right?

"Which way should we go?" I ask.

"Left" JK says and starts walking towards the left.

I frown. "But right is always the right way" I say pointing to the right.

JK says nothing and continues walking towards the left.

JK says nothing and continues walking towards the left

It's been half an hour of walking. Well JK walking and me hitching a ride on his back. Still, we haven't come across any civilization, let alone a building. I was mentally complaining in my head as it was already getting dark. The sun was setting and in not much time it will be pitch black.

My poor stomach has been crying out to me, begging for food. Well we may be used to not eating much but since we have animal DNA in us, we obviously crave food. It doesn't matter what food at this point cause in all honesty I would eat insects.

While we were walking we walking I spotted a fruit tree. The red fruit caught my attention. JK was still walking straight ahead not minding his surroundings.

I quickly grabbed the side of his head and forcefully turned it so it would be facing the fruit.

"Please?" I ask.

JK doesn't say anything but walks towards the tree. I ask him to put me down and I immediately started to climb the tree. I picked  and then threw them down so JK can catch them at the bottom of the tree. After stripping the tree of all its fruit, I climbed down and sat next to JK who was already eating or more like inhaling as many fruit as he can.

"Hey leave some for me!" I say and quickly grab the fruit. One in each hand as I devour it up.

We ate and ate until our stomachs were filled. It was insane how much we could eat alone. Probably more then a normal human. Appa really kept me away from all this?!

The sky was now blanketed with stars in the sky. The moon shone making the dark sky look bright. It was beautiful. JK was also looking at the sky. My eyes soon drifted to another light. There were two lights coming from the road. The light seemed to be getting bigger and bigger.

"Hey what are you kids doing out here so late?" An old man probably in his 60s yelled out from his pickup truck

"Hey what are you kids doing out here so late?" An old man probably in his 60s yelled out from his pickup truck.

"HI! Um we're kinda lost at the moment can you tell us which way the city is?" I ask.

"Oh you poor kids. Don't worry we'll take you to the city! It's dark out already. Wolves and bears lurk around this part of the forest. It's not safe for teenagers like you" an old lady said, probably the old mans wife.

"Here you guys can sit in the back. We were on our way to the city as well." She says.

"Shouldn't we be going towards the left if we are going to the city?" I ask.

"Haha you're funny kid. The city is in the right." The old man snorted.

I quickly give JK am I told you so look.

JK just rolls his eyes and let's put a huff.

"Come on we have some hay stacks so the rise won't hurt your bums." The lady says.

Well it's getting dark so I guess this we'll be helpful. I pull JK by the arm and bring him to the back of the pickup truck. I hop on first and JK follows. We get ourselves comfortable in the hay stacks.

"Comfy?" The lady asks.

"Yup thanks for the ride" I say.

And just like that the truck started, driving off along the long seemingly endless road.
