Thank you for all your comments last chapter! They made me really happy😝

V POV

"Ughh why couldn't our parents be like grandma."

"Why couldn't grandma just be our parent."

I listened as Suno and Sato conversed in their own little conversation. Grandma was like the parent we never had. I'm sure the twins and JK must feel the same way especially since their experience with their parents weren't even close to good.

We slowly made our way back home. It was like our thing to do nighttime walks now but it didn't feel dangerous. If anything I felt safer walking in the dark. There was less people, less attention and less commotion.

I was holding JK's hand as we swung our arms back and forth. Our bracelets hung on our wrist and would often make a little noise every time our bracelets hit each other from swinging our arms.

"V? Have you ever wondered what your parents were like?" Suno suddenly asks. He didn't turn around to face me when he spoke and instead remained walking, eyes straight ahead.

"Have you every tried looking for them?" Sato then added.

My parents... huh. I never really put much thought into my parents. I mean I know I have parents, everyone does. At least that's what the biology textbook taught me.

"Um no.... I haven't put much thought into it really haha." I nervously laugh it off. I could feel JK give my hand a tight squeeze.

We made it home but all that was on my mind was the thought of my parents. The four of us went into the cave to sleep but sleep never fell upon me. I sat up and decided to get some fresh air.

Why did my parents leave me? Did they sell me? Donate me? Not want me? Unlinked JK and the twins, I was in the lab pretty much since forever or as Appa says, since birth.

"What's wrong?" I was snapped out of my thoughts from JK's husky voice as he placed a hand on my shoulder.

"You can go back to sleep. I'll just sit out here for a bit." I say but before I knew it, JK was seated next to me on the floor.

"Can't."

"Can't?" I ask.

"...sleep without you." JK mumbled.

I took a moment to process what he said before pouncing onto him with the biggest grin on my face. JK caught me before placing me on his lap.

"JK? What do you think my parents were like?" I ask as I looked up at the stars.

"Mmm... I don't know." JK said. "Do you.. do you want to find them?"

"I don't really need to. I mean revenge was never on my mind since they never did anything bad to me, besides putting me in the lab. Although, if I was never in the lab, I would have never have met you. If I were to ever meet them, I would probably show them how much better I am now. How I'm so much happier." I explain. "I can't help but wonder what they would be like though."

"I would thank them." JK says.

I turn around to face him. "Why thank them?"

"Thank them for bringing you to the lab and for letting you and I meet."

"I guess that would make two of us then." I laugh.

I snuggled up onto JK and before I knew it, I had fallen asleep on his lap. Listening to his heartbeats.

The next morning we were awoken by Suno and Sato who had woken up first. The two of them tackled us down while yelling incoherent words.

"You guys snuck out to be together huh?" Sato teases.
