We were caught!

Suno POV

Sato and I had walked to the city, practically in slow motion. It just didn't feel right... nothing felt right. My stomach was turning upside down and my lips felt chapped. Once we reached the city, anxiety decided to come along and say hi. It felt like everyone in the city had a piercing glare that was piercing through us as we walked. The unsettling feeling only got worse the further we got into the city.

"Let's just get this over with.." Sato muttered before quickly walking through the city.

We walked into the first store that looked like it sold clothes. It was a small store but inside there were racks of clothing all in rows. The walls were painted a cacky pink and all sorts of differently designed fabrics hung all over the walls. Luckily they had some simple wear, so we grabbed a couple of white t-shirts and some pants that looked comfortable. All was going well, we even managed to pick up enough clothing for the four of us, that is until someone decided to walk over.

"Suno... Sato? Yo is that you guys?" A somewhat familiar voice spoke up. "Hey it's been so long, don't you remember me? It's Kai, we played basketball together." He continued.

Sato and I had frozen in place as the boy kept rambling on. Shivers went down our spine when we noticed that Kai was scanning us from head to toe. Despite his cheerful demeanor and overbearing smile, it seemed.... evil? All of a sudden I started seeing his face warp into a fox. His eyes became bloodshot red, his skin grew hair and his canines got sharp. My mind kept playing tricks on me. I tried to shake out the terrifying thought out of my mind but I only felt like I was trapped.

"Wow you guys look pretty beaten up... what even happened to you guys? Where's V and JK? Everybody on the team misses you guys..."

I hadn't realized since when our feet decided to move backward on their own but I'm glad they did. We just wanted to buy some clothes...

"Hey, woah woah woah! I'm not trying to kill you guys are anything. We were teammates and most importantly friends then. My parents own this store but I just help out once in a while. Who knew we would end up meeting again like this." Kai continued.

It was like the whole store was swallowing us up in a black hole with no escape. My mind was only focused on one thing. The enemy is in front and we need to run.

Sato and I didn't even need to link to each other before the two of us bolted out of the store with the clothes. We left and never looked back...

We ran and ran until we made it back to the forest where we found V practically engulfed by JK. JK had his arms wrapped around V's waist as his chin rested on V's shoulders. I'm sure they were doing less than decent things together as the two seemed shocked to see us. Not only that but V had a light blush painted on his face.

V quickly stood up while JK took his sweet time. He looked a bit frustrated but was quick to compose himself with his cool demeanor. V walked over towards us before speaking up.

"Why are you two back in such a rush?" V asked after he composed himself.

V POV

I took in the appearance of Suno and Sato who were trembling and seemed obviously scared. My eyebrows furrowed as I tried to imagine what could have happened to get them this scared.

"Is it Appa?" I ask.

There was a long silence but finally Suno shook his head no.

"Was it the foxes?" I try asking again.

This time Sato shook his head no.

I tried to think of another reason but my mind went blank. To the four of us I'm sure Appa and the foxes were our worst nightmares. But then again, I've never seen the twins so frightened. I noticed that they got the clothes we asked for and it was definitely everything we needed. I then noticed that Sato seemed to be holding what had looked like the amount of money I had given them before they left to the city.
