"Cinderello!" shouted his stepfather, looking up from a letter. "Come and clean my bedroom at once."
"Yes, Stepfather," Cinderello called from the kitchen, where he was making lunch. His stepbrothers had ordered their usual revolting dishes. "Urgh! Crap!" he moaned.

Cinderello gripped his broom hard. "May I go to the Ball as well?" he asked, in a scared whisper.
"You? Go to the Ball?" said his stepfather. "You must be joking. You belong in the kitchen."
Cinderello turned to his mother, but she coughed and looked away. "She's too scared of Stepfather to help me," thought Cinderello. "If only I could go to the ball..."
