Xerxes pov
"I..I.."
I don't know what to say. She is the first and only person who could leave me speechless like. I look at her and see her perfect little face look at me with a bit of fear and hope in its eyes. Without a second thought, I take the hand she was caressing my check with and adorn it with kisses. I look at her and tell her
"We can't"
she looks at me with a saddened look and takes her hand away. I tell her
"Us being together would make too many problems"
She looks at me and says
"Of course. I don't know what got over me. Perhaps I'm just too flattered with the kindness you have given me"
She laughs and then tilts her face to the other side and says quietly
"Please don't be offended, let's forget this ever happened"
I look at her and say
"Let's go back"
She puts a brave smile on her face and says
"Of course, I'm getting quite hungry anyways"
You would almost think she forgot about the whole thing. How brave she is. How cold she is. I try to hold back the need to hold her close and kiss her. I smile and say
"Well lucky you, we have an event to attend."
She smiles and nodsLater that evening
I can't stop thinking about her. She's all I could think about for hours. She is all I can think about at this moment, even as my maids are dressing me. Once they finish, I dismiss them and look into the mirror once more
I sigh and make my way to the living room. I sit on my usual fur chair and wait for Hiraeth to come. After a few minutes, I start to walk around. What is taking her so long?! The door opens to reveal Hiraeth standing near the door
I look at her and my heart starts to beat faster and faster till it feels that it will explode out of my chest. I look at her and she smiles at me. She says
"How do I look?"
I smile and walk towards her. I hold her hands in mine and say
"Stunning"
The same electricity I always feel rushed through me, but I wish to embrace it, and I do. She soon let's go of my hand however and leaves me feeling empty. She says with a cold expression on her face
"When do we leave?"
I look at her with a saddened look in my eye. I whisper
"Now"
She nods and we take a car and drive to towards the bridge that attached the island to the city. She look at him panick stricken and say
"Wait, is this the city I can from?!"
I says
"No, that's on the other side"
She sighs and say
"Good"
We drive for hours in complete silence until we arrive in L.A. We get to this club called The Ring and I park. I give one of the front boys my key to go park my car and hold Hiraeth's hand as we go in. We see a bunch of people dancing and dry humping each other, teens doing drugs on the front table and the bartenders flirting their way around. We walk past all these people and go up the stairs. Hiraeth says
"Am I too dressed up?"
I tell her
"You look perfect"
She smiles revealing her pearly white teeth.
We get to the top of the stairs to stand in front of a door encrusted with dragons twirling each other in the middle. I knock on the door and it slightly opens. The man looks at me and says
"Mr. Faranzo, please come in"
He opens the door fully to reveal people from different ethnicities dancing around and mingling. I walk towards my dear friend David Frankovich, who smiles dearly at us once he sees us. Holds my arm and pulls me into a hug, as always, his Russian perfume fills my nostrils, chocking me. He lets me go and says
"My dear friend, how have you been?"David Frankovich played by him
He looks at Hiraeth and gasps as he says
"And who might this beauty be"
Hiraeth smiles at him and I say
"David, meet Hiraeth, a friend of mine"
She reaches to shake his hand but his smile soon dissapear and is replaced with a serious frown. He looks at me and says
"Please, let's go talk in my office"
