Chapter twenty-three

Xerxes pov

We are still driving in the car towards the airport. We have been here for two hours and have like an hour left, that is of course if there isn't that much traffic. I look in the mirror on the roof of the front of the car and look to see if Hiraeth is alright. To my content, she is talking with Miza playfully. God I love her, I really do. She is beautiful, I have seen her beauty, not only internally but externally in our sheets. I look at Noal who says quietly
"I see you have finally expressed your feelings for her"
I smirks and say
"What gave it away?"
He smirks in return and says
"Well that smile you get every time you like at her and that boner in your pants"
I look at him embarrassed as I cross my legs and cover my boner with my hands. He laughs and says
"Damn it was that good eh?"
I smirk and say
"You have no idea"
He smirks and says
"You'll fall deeper and deeper in love with her as the days go by."
I look at him confused and he continues
"You think this is it. You think this is the maximum amount your heart can give. It's not. You'll end up loving her even more and more as the days go by and your heart will surprise you the whole way"
I look at him and smirk as I whisper
"It already is"
He smirks in return as we keep driving in silence, well other then the girls in the back that are louder then roosters at sunrise.

Later

We finally arrive at the airport to see David and a girl standing next to each other. I look behind to see Hiraeth and Miza laughing together, completely unaware of our arrival. I finally say while slightly smiling
"We have arrived"
Hiraeth looks at me with her doe eyes and I can't help but melt under their gaze. It's difficult to believe that something, someone so beautiful could ever be created. My thoughts soo get distracted by the opening of the car doors. I turn around and open the door in return. Once I get out, I see Hiraeth's smile slowly fade as she looks at the girl standing next to David. She whispers to herself
"Namia?"
The girl next to David who was holding back a wave of emotions finally breaks and cries out softly
"Hiraeth"
They run towards each other and embrace each other. They make such a scene that we get a few glances from people. I walk up to them and say
"Forgive me but we need to be a bit quieter"
Hiraeth nods understanding as she lets go of Namia. She says
"I though they had killed you"
She laughs while crying and says
"Well they basically did. In training, they do their best to kill your human side to leave a cold emotionless being."
Hiraeth wipes a few tears as Namia says
"I heard of a girl being held hostage for all those years. I wanted to come see you but you were so very well hidden"
Hiraeth smiles slightly and says
"Oh yes, that much is true. I was kept in the lowest parts of the dungeon and was locked away with what felt like hundreds of locked high tech doors"
Hearing of her experience all over again makes my blood boil. I want to smack that fools head over a table filled with piles repeatedly. David comes up to me and gives me a hug which I gladly return. In the middle of all this emotion though, I catch Noal sitting down on a bench drinking a sofa he bought at a stand near the airport. When I tell you this man is built different. I look at David and say
"I hope you didn't find too much trouble on your way here"
He shakes his head and says
"Oh no! I was more secretive then a snake"
I smirk and say
"Well that's good"
He smirks and Noal finally comes to his senses and greats David and Niama and so does Miza. Once all these greetings are over, we take their luggages and put them in the car. Hiraeth looks around and says
"Um, how will we all fit in?"
David says
"Well Hiraeth I do believe that two of you girls will need to seat on our laps"
David gives me a nasty smirk and I give him one in return. Hiraeth however doesn't seem to get the dirty joke and says
"Well I believe your right, I'll sit on Xerxes' lap and Niama will sit on yours"
We all nod and I get in the front seat. Hiraeth looks at me and I launch her a smirk before she sits on my lap. I hold her waist as she puts the seat belt over the two of us and we look back to see if Namia and David have their seat belt on as well. Once they do, Noal starts to car and that's when ass the discussions start. David starts by saying
"So Noal? I heard a lot on your village, including that's it's very secluded from the outside world. How have you guys remained a secret?"
Noal keeps his eyes in the front while responding
"Well to be honest, I have no real idea. Maybe it's because of how secluded it really is. No outsider that hasn't been invited had ever found it. Or maybe it's magic of some sort"
David nods and says
"I see, so we will guaranteed not be found?"
Noal nods and says
"Sure thing."
David smirks and says
"Well then I should probably get rid of my gadgets."
He takes out his phone and computer. He throws it in the middle of the highway as Namia takes her phone and does the same. I roll my eyes while Hiraeth shouts
"Pollution!"
Everyone in the car laughs and she murmurs
"Messing up my environment"
We laugh even harder as she rolls her eyes and let's put a laugh of her own. We finally relax and the air clears itself as conversations between each of us sparks.
